A little mystery didn't hurt anyone, except in this manga that is... First and foremost, let me say this. I apologize from my minor absence from ESH. Time management was never something I was good with. So forgive this very sorry panda, and let her endulge your cravings for anime and manga alike!
This manga series that I want to discuss is called "The Kindaichi Case Files" No it isn't at all like Case Closed, thank goodness. I don't know about the rest of you, but... I wasn't too fond of that series. Anyway this story was writen by Yozaburo Kanari There are twelve books in the collection, even though in a sense there are only 11 mysteries. BUT HOW IS THIS SO? 12 books? 11 mysteries? Hmmmm Well two books are of the same one..thats why. Ha ha mystery solved.
Here is a little break down for all of you people out there who might be interested in this particular series... The main character's name is Hajime. He is the grandson of a famous detective, and through him has extradinary deductive skills and amazing logically thinking. Too bad though that it only seems evident when he is working on a case. While in school he slacks off, sleeps a lot and is constantly being nagged by his childhood friend Miyuki. *Yes there is an unspoken attraction here, which they keep that way for suspense purposes, though there are times where there are slips of tongue and the age old question of "Is that a bannana in your pocket? or are you just happy to see me?" inferences.
Anyway for the most part, Hajime is always pulled into these cases by mistake or on accident, but takes charge and always manages to be correct by the end. The sounds kinda basic I know, but in books 10 and 11 "Kindaichi The Killer" The killer is smart enough to continuously make it look like Hajime is the killer. Also in all the books, the Killers like to put tension on Hajime and Miyuki, to kinda rile up Hajime's feelings and hopefully throw him of their trail, but it never seems to happen, and if so not long enough to really subdue the ever intelligent Hajime.
It took me over a year and half to find all the books, since not too many people were really taking an interest in it. So please, if you love the Sistahs...heck if you love me..pandalicious, go to your nearest book store (that carries graphic novels) and pick one up and scan through it. I'm sure you are bound to find something that * peaks* your interest.
On a scale of 1 to 10; 1 being really bad, and 10 being "Oh my god where is my towel" I'd say this was a 8. If they present questions in anime or manga, by the end i want them all answered, however they purposely don't give you all the answers, thus why i had to deduct some points there. Not to mention I am a big lover of love situations, so the fact that that is what they didn't answer I had to deduct another one. ^^

That's All Folks...well until I pick something else worth mentioning.
Ja!
