Like drama wasn't good enough now they add conventions to the mix. Will they ever learn? ^^
Hello loyal fans of ESH! Pandlicious is here once again to drop something down for you all.
First of all, on a side note let me announce that at 9:33am (EST) I will turning another year older. That's right folks ESH’s own Pandalicious is now turning twenty-two years old. [Yes I’m old!]
Anyway back to ESH business.
Once again I'm bringing up a manga. [Once I get WoW out of my system I will be watching more anime titles and will review those for your viewing pleasure.
So what do I have for you guys today? This is a manga so new that there isn't only one copy out. It has been gaining speed and popularity since its debut at AB2K5 and even more so this year at AB2K6. Why, you ask? Because the creator Svetlana Chmakova announced that the next volume would be coming out soon.
By her name alone I'm sure some of you already know to which I speak. That’s right you guessed it. [And for those who haven’t guessed, it's okay.] It’s DRAMACON!
Who doesn’t like a little DRAMA and CONVENTIONS?! [I know I do!]
But seriously folks, this is a definite “OH MY GOD YOU NEED TO BUY THIS TITLE” or “OMGYNTBTT” lol!
It is about novice writer, Christie. It is her first anime convention [yes for those who didn’t figure that out, the convention to which this story takes place is an anime convention] She is swept up in the rush of it all. [And for those who have never been you'd experience that too!]
Christie and her artist boyfriend have joined forces in creating a manga. And this Con is the best place to promote it. Or..is it?
Her boyfriend Derek [Total Prick btw!] treats her like garbage and what happens? You guessed it! She meets a mysterious cosplayer. A cosplayer is a person who will go to extreme measures to dress up like their favorite anime character, some would say it goes as far as to dress up like their favorite character period though. Much like when it happens in real life there is an attraction and things then become complicated. [When doesn’t it get complicated?]
Now I don't know about you all but to fall in love at an anime convention would be extremely risky, I mean they only last a few days [a fact that frosts my cookies EVERYTIME I THINK OF IT?!] So can this work out for Christie and mystery guy?
Will Derek grow some f*@%ing balls?!
This is a title that I'd camp out at the nearest Borders to get.
So keep an eye out for it.
