Alright folks, last week didn't work out very well, only Tooky and Amberjack answered my question. So, we're upping the stakes and giving you something special for the holiday. Let's see if we can get you guys excited.
Once again, here are the rules:
- Winners will be announced during the podcast, so it will run Friday to Friday
- I will put up a post each Friday explaining which manga I will be giving away as well as the rules of the game
- The following Friday, right before the podcast I will put up a comment to cap the thread and I will start up a new week's post
- Each week I will ask a question and my favorite/the best answer will win
- No one can win twice in a row
- If there are fewer than 3 eligible responses to the question I will hold off on the Giveaway for another week
- ESH members aren't eligible for the Giveaway
- Just posting a comment for the Magic Manga Mania Givaway will also qualify you to be a Candy Bitch
- I will post my answer to the question at the end of the week, my post will signify the end of the thread and no posts after mine will be eligible to win
The Manga:
This week I'm giving away volumes 1-4 of Ken Akamatsu's AI Love You. This series was created before Love Hina and it established Ken as a manga-ka. If you know Ken's work at all you will see many similar characters that were precursors to the characters you know from Love Hina. His style has changed a bit since those days, but it is still great work.
Hitoshi is a bad student, a worse athlete and isn't the most popular of people either. It doesn't help any that his closest friend is an AI program on his computer. Number 30 is Hitoshi's crowning achievement and is the only girl he can talk to. Luckily for him a power surge somehow brings her out of the computer and into his life. Hitoshi has to learn quickly what to do when his girlfriend gets a bug or gets herself hacked, and he needs to figure out how to teach an AI all there is to being a real girl. Add in the devious Hacker Billy G, Program 20 (the overly sexual older sister) and Program 40 (the bipolar younger brother/sister) and Hitoshi's life will never be the same.
This Weeks Question:
Out of the podcast episodes we've done [with #32 being released Monday], which is your favorite any why?
