Yo-Kai Watch Season 2 premieres Aug. 1 On Disney XD

The second season of Yo-Kai Watch will premiere on Disney XD beginning Aug. 1 with 10 consecutive new episodes airing weekdays through Aug. 12 at 12:30 p.m. Eastern and Pacific time.

On Aug. 27, Yo-Kai Watch will move to its regular time slot on Saturday mornings at 8:30 a.m. Eastern and Pacific time. The second season will include 50 episodes – nearly doubling the 26 episodes of the hit show’s premiere season – and introduces more than 90 new characters to fans.

A new Yo-Kai Watch video game for Nintendo 3DS is set to launch Sept. 30, with two distinct versions – Yo-Kai Watch 2: Bony Spirits and Yo-Kai Watch 2: Fleshy Souls, each with an exclusive Yo-kai Medal included to unlock Jibanyan’s in-game unique and powerful Soultimate Moves.

The makers describe Yo-Kai Watch this way: “It is a cross-media universe, following the misadventures of an average human boy and his involvement with the mischievous Yo-kai (invisible beings that are the cause of life’s daily annoyances) all around him. Our young hero obtains a special watch, empowering him to discover and summon the mysterious Yo-kai, befriend them and then work together to solve everyday problems… problems that are often caused by other trouble-making Yo-kai.
