Magic Reviews: Sang-Sun Park 3 Tarot Cafe

    posted @ 7/12/2006 11:36:00 AM by MagicMystic
And now for the last installment of my 3 park Sang-Sun Park posting series. I give to you Tarot Cafe:

Pamela has a unique gift, she is a fortune teller to the magical and mystical ::wink:: creatures of the world. From a wish granting cat, to an alchemist, dragons, werewolves and more, the whole magical underworld knows to go to Pamela when in need. But there is a price. Pamela is searching for the pieces to Berial's necklace, several strings of pearls and 5 main gemstones, she pieces it back together pearl by pearl, fortune by fortune. Pamela has a dark, secret past and somehow the necklace is connected to it.

There are four volumes of this manga published so far, but I see no mention on the Tokyopop site of a possible release of the 5th volume.

I LURVE this manga. I saved the best for last. The art is as always gorgeous. Most of the people Pamela ends up helping are men, so there is plenty of eye candy for every girl's tastes. There is plenty of SD (Super Deformed) scenes and bits of comedy throughout the story. Also not all the fortunes turn out well, so the darker aspect of fate is present in the story as well. Though the only people who get screwed totally deserved it. ::Cough:: Acid spilled on evil princess :Cough cough:: My recommendation is to immediately travel to the nearest bookstore, do not pass go, grab the 200$ if it's just lying there (who'd pass up easy cash), but go quickly. Marvin K mooney will you PLEASE GO NOW. I'm not saying you have to go buy it just go flip through and oggle the pretty boy candy.

    Luv and Huggs,
    Magic
