Bethesda Softworks Announces Tango Gameworks New Project!

Bethesda has an announcement that drips survival horror.

Yesterday Bethesda Softworks announced that Tango Gameworks is working on their latest project, a survival horror game under the codename: Zwei.

Tango Gameworks has come on board with survival horror master and director, Shinji Mikami. Who is recognized for my personal favorite survival horror game series: Resident Evil.

Mikami and his team at Tango Gameworks are committed to making a game that will harbor the realization of pure survival horror.

Here,Mikami further elaborates on his vision:

“A true ‘survival horror’ game is one in which the player confronts and overcomes fear,” says Shinji Mikami, president and creative director for Tango Gameworks. “I've found my focus and once again I'm striving for pure survival horror. I am being very hands-on in the development of this game to ensure that the quality is there. Rest assured.”

Many would feel that the genre has been stagnant and even waning with the releases of Silent Hill 4: The Room and Resident Evil 5. Well it looks like the tides are shifting once again with the tease of this project.
