Walking Dead on the Farm

After the intense opening chapter that was The Walking Dead: Episode 1, there is a lot to live up to for the second episode.  Episode 2: Starved for Help takes the formula established by the first and continues to evolve both the story and gameplay.  Not focusing as much on item collection this time around, ambiance, action and decision-making take a lead role.  I’d like to take this moment to warn anyone that hasn’t played the first episode of this game; this review may contain some spoilers.

When we last left our survivors, they had abandoned the pharmacy and found an abandoned motel.  After clearing out what was left of the living dead, they’ve turned this into their new stronghold.  Three months pass and they’re beginning to run low on food, but a surprise visit from a few strangers that will drastically change their situation.  I won’t divulge much more about the story, because that’s one of the best parts of this series.  I will say that this episode contains quite a few surprises, some I saw coming and a few I really did not.
