Panda's Word of the Day: Facetious
Sandwiches in the Dark — How Romantic
Panda Says She Likes It From All Directions — And She Calls US Perverts

Her section of the show ends with Activisions' DJ Hero
Oh yeah! It's the beginning of the week, so you know we have to hit you with a new episode of the podcast right?
In this episode of the podcast, Pandalicious kicks the show off with what she took away from the new Tarantino flick "Inglourious Basterds," followed by some open conversation about the Rock Band support for the Lips wireless microphones as well as the new PS3 slim. Then we back the conversation up to games and NinJa jumps in with quick reactions to both Live Arcade titles Trials HD and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled.
To give you an idea of what this episode is like, here are some of the titles we didn't use:
It's Not a Spoiler Alert If You Spoil It Before the Alert
It's Got T.I.T. Right In the Middle
Canada Isn't a Religion
Don't Waste Your Microsoft Points -- You're Going to Need Them
The PS3 Slim Is No McLovin
and finally,
The Only Girls On the Internet Asking for Stalkers
No joking here folks, the heavens themselves moved in order to get Milk-chan from Ultimate Quest on this week's new podcast episode.
Once more, the ladies run this thang and it's funny as hell.
Pandalicious kicks the show off with her impressions of the XBLive community game 1 vs. 100 game and then Milk and NinJa chime in with some comic-con stuff which leads us down the path to COSplay. In case you didn't know, all roads lead to COSplay... and Zelda. Milk chairs the topic of Twilight Princess and adds the fun of Majora's Mask multiplayer.
We let the COSplay get the best of us, but NinJaSistah ends the tangent line by bringing it back to gaming and talking a bit about the upcoming NXE updates due to hit the Xbox dashboard this August, including the upcoming Avatar Marketplace and Netflix Parties. This podcast is chock full of awesome folks, so sit back and enjoy it!
Pandalicious and Ninjasistah talk about some of the lesser known or presented games like Warner Bros. Scribblenauts for the DS and a few titles from Playlogic including Section 8 Who had the best looking man candy by far. From Alpha Protocol to The Lord of the Rings: Arrogorns' Tale we talk through the last bits of our E3 notes... until we finish unpacking that is.
We aren't dead, but our feet [and brains] are dead tired from traipsing around the LA Convention Center last week to cover E3 for you guys. [And if I'm honest, for ourselves as well.] I couldn't tell you how much both Pandalicious and I enjoyed our time in LA. First there was the catching up with the rest of the AllGames fam, followed closely by the meeting and greeting of new gamer-type press groups and the exchange of thoughts and ideas over free drinks. [Crix Lee from GirlGamer, Destructoids' Nick Chester, and Mr. Crecente himself from Kotaku to name drop a few.] The side-story fun stuff aside, we descended on LA for a reason and that reason was to get the low down on the soon to be released and up-and-coming video games.
I won't bore you with a list of what we looked at, and whom we spoke to now as it wouldn't leave us anything to write for the rest of the week. What I will do is tell you that this podcast was one of our more enjoyable ones to record. We recorded it live from the show floor and Crix Lee popped by during our The Beatles: RockBand time and shared some great insights with us. A few people were wow'd by my laptop skin [courtesy of DecalGirl] and interrupted us a bit so you may notice that in here as well, but we had a lot to talk about... Bayonetta, Scribblenaughts, Prototype, and Batman: Arkham Asylum come to mind as I write this.
From the stronger female presence both physically and pixel-y at this years' show to media briefing impressions and being excluded from demos we talk about it all. Grab your beverage of choice and put on your headphones, it's time to enjoy Electric Sista Hood podcast 149: While My Pocketbook Gently Weeps
Right before we head off to LA we cooked up a fresh new podcast episode for you to enjoy while we sleep on planes.
In this episode of the podcast hosts NinJaSistah and Pandalicious talk about what they hope to see, learn, and play at E3 this year as well as deal a bit gossip out for your enjoyment. From the confirmed PSP GO to discussing some of the many ways Harmonix/MTV Games will be storing all the money they are stand to make with The Beatles: RockBand we leave no gaming cranny uncovered.
Got a piping hot fresh episode of our humble little podcast for your listening pleasure, hit the jump to learn more.
Xenocore from Ultimate Quest joins us on the mic to talk a bit about anime series that drop some knowledge or substantial amount of reality on the viewer as well as those that don't. [yeah Overman King Gainer, I'm looking at you!]Pandalicious chimes in with her opinions on the Nintendo DSi title Rhythm Heaven and how it can be productive while addictive at the same time, and then there is NinJaSistah.
Riding a crazy wave of dual Mt. Dew regular and Mt. Dew Throwback Ninja is all over the place in the episode [causing a lot to be cut out, by the way] and yet somehow manages to get on topic chatting about Sony's recent fiscal earnings announcement and how it may affect creativity and individuality throughout the industry.
When you take a gander at some of the titles we didn't use for this episode, you understand why you have to listen to it. We passed on things like:
The Many Degrees of Layitude
I Manga Like a MoFo
Longer, Better, Faster, Harder - Normally, Panda Wouldn't Mind That
It's time to enjoy another new ESH podcast episode folks, and this one stays fairly well focused which is a bit out of the norm for us.
Pandalicious and NinJaSistah go on and on and on for a bit about the state and future of handheld gaming thanks to Furian09's submitted question as well as the upcoming PS3 title Katamari Forever, Magna Carta 2 on the XBox 360, this weeks new Rock Band DLC, and the anime series Hetalia.
From Pandalicious' tales of the weird and wacky world of Hetalia to NinJaSistah's Mt. Dew fueled awkwardness throughout the hour, this episode of the podcast is a great way to kick off year 3 of the ElectricSistaHood show. So grab your warm and or frosty beverage of choice and enjoy ESH podcast episode 144: It Might Not Be the Best, But It's the Bessssssst
Oh yeah, make sure you stop by the site and check out the new digs!
If raincoat tasting isn't your cup of joe, you might want to try on this week's episode of the ESH podcast instead. It's up to you really, are you a raincoat licker or podcast enthusiast?
If you aren't, Pandalicious and NinJaSistah are plenty enthusiastic in this episode of the ESH podcast for everyone. The gals answer some of your questions, on both the anime and game tip, talk a bit about Lego Rock Band, the DragonBall movie how easy it is ignore superheroes alter egos, and one of the weirdest anime series I have ever heard of before, "Kyoran Kazoku Nikki." Seriously, it's a weird one only Pandalicious can love.
To give you better picture of this episode, take a peek at some of the titles we didn't use for this episode:
Those Fish Aren't Coy, They're Just Chillin'
The Wolverine Movie Mutated Into Something I Don't Want to See
It Depends On Your Definition of Bad
When You Give a Jellyfish a Name, It's More Than a Jellyfish
and to top it off
If You Can't Put Your Finger On It, You're Not Going to Please Anyone
...Gimme dat podcast! Okay, it's not as catchy as this, but I had to grab your attention to remind you that we have a new episode of the ESH podcast ready for you now.
You can yell at me for the song being stuck in your head later.
In this episode of the podcast, we talk about all kinds of crazy stuff from the rampant ravishing of our treasured entertainment pasts to create feature length film like the upcoming Tekken movie and G.I. Joe movie to the classic game title Bubble Bobble which is currently available as Wiiware. Both NinJaSistah and Pandalicious answer some audience questions, including one from Bootleg Pete as well as promote the Gamer Daily News Spring Cleaning event, and then cap off the hour with the manga turned anime series Rideback
We are up to the usual monkey business in this episode, and if you don't believe me here are some of the titles we came up with but chose not to use for this episode:
Reality In Video Games - Isn't That An Oxymoron?
There Will Always Be Wire Hangers
He's More Buffy Than Buff
The Tekken Movie? That's The April Fool's Joke
It's At The Bottom End of The Wayans Scale
G.I. Joe Doesn't Make You Gay
Pandalicious Talks About Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged - And This Isn't A Rerun
Monday morning creeps around again, so the sistah's got to gabbing again to create a new episode of the ESH podcast for you. And this one is another single topic-er.
We couldn't think of a better way to herald the return of NinJaSistah to the East Coast the girls get together to chit-chat about Fable 2. Actually, first they talk about Fable, then Fable 2, open environment games, and action RPG's, and a bunch of stuffs surrounding the Lionhead Studios titles.
I'll warn you now, there are a bunch of spoilers to go around in this episode if you haven't finished either title, so you may want to download this episode and wait until you finish your game before you listen to this one. Don't say I didn't warn you. Seriously, look at the titles that we didn't use for the episode:
You Can Kick Chickens and It Doesn't Affect Your Purity
He Shoots Your Sister, Then He Shoots Your Dog...Bastard
Fable 2 Teaches the Horror of Eating Meat
I Want My Dog Back, I Really Don't Care About My Sister
Monday brings along with it a new episode of the ESH podcast, and since NinJa had an at bat on an episode all her own, we had to give Panda equal time on this network.
Ok, so we aren't a network yet, but we are growing in that general direction so stop raining on our parade already. Pandlicious spends a little time in this episode sharing her top 5 picks for best songs featured in Rock Band 2 by MTV Games/EA/Harmonix. By now you should have a firm grasp on how much the sistah's love the Rock Band but if you don't, just make a run through of our past posts and podcast for the last two months. You will lose count of the amount of times we talk about this game, so one more won't hurt.
While I won't give away the list [what will make you listen to the episode if I type it all up here, eh?] I will tell you that it features some great all around songs folks... including stuff by Jonathan Coulton.
This week, I promise not to bring up Pandalicious' little escapade in recorded audio incident on the new episode of the podcast.
Ooops, I already did. My bad Panda, my bad.
On the podcast this week, NinJaSistah and Pandalicious attempt to go all anime on your ass. From Panda's Code E/Mission E two'fer to NinJa sharing some of her first impressions of Mushi-Shi and Michico E Hatchin and Personal 4.
The girls talk a bit about a bunch of things in this episode. No love toilet talk, but they do go on a few tangents. Check out some of the titles that came up, but weren't chosen as the winner:
Anime or May Not
I Failed the Flying Test in High School
Pandalicious Portrays Herself in "A Night in Panda"
Finally -- Some Anime Characters That Aren't the Other White Meat
The Kids Have Been Around the Block a Few Times Now
It's a Fresh of Breath Air
You Could Make a Live Action Version of Mononoke... BUT DON'T
Leave the Actors Where They Are, Just Move the Scenery
I Never Made It Past the Part where They Brought In the Munchkin Asian Chick
It's already "that time" of the week again...time for the ESH crew to drop a new episode of the podcast on you to help kick your week off right!
NinJaSistah and Pandalicious once again hold the hour down talking about games and generally entertaining topics ranging from rhythm games in general to the final on disc track listings of Activision'sGuitar Hero: World Tour, Harmonix's Rockband 2, and Konami'sRock Revolution. Somehow David Bowie makes it into the conversation again as well as incest which is mostly Panda's fault for bringing Viva Pinata: Trouble In Paradise to the table.
We didn't have a long list of titles to choose from this week, but if you want an idea of how the show stacks up to the others, one title on the list was "no pants, no WoW, no problem." That's all I got for you folks, so grab your morning or evening drink and enjoy podcast episode 113: Rhythm Games Gonna Get Cha!
Who doesn't like new podcast episode Monday? Productive people that's who. Let us help you start your week off on the unproductive tip with this episode of our podcast.
Sans MagicMystic yet again, the sistah's stick to the gaming topic covering both the new and upcoming starting with Panda's take on the game Project Origin and Ninja sharing some of what she was able to take away from the assorted E3 coverage.
From talking about the survival horror game genre to specific experiences with titles like Manhunt and Silent Hill to the thriller-chiller types including the "I don't think NinJa is ever going to finish it" BioShock game. Ninja talks God of War 3, Animal Crossing: City Folk, Star Wars: Clone Wars, Portal 2, and Oneechanbura.
It's another one of our lively podcast episodes people, here are some of the titles we decided not to use to name it:

LAUNCH The podcast kicked off in 2006 with the first episode being released on May 3rd, and we have been cranking them out ever since. Over 100 total released shows [We have done a bunch of My Top Fives people] ESH has really grown into something unexpected, but ultimately an insane amount of fun to do.
In this episode of the podcast we talk about how we got to be two years old.
CHANGE I launched the site in April of 06 as SplendidBlunder.com. Originally, the idea was to have a space on the web to create, post, mix, and remix other people’s GarageBand projects. It was going to be a playground for Panda and I, and while we were having all of our conversations about the setup, we kept wasting time talking about Video games and anime.
GROWTH We realized quickly that we wouldn’t be able to do just the site or the podcast alone, and began recruiting our more than geeky friends to join the family. The first recruit was MagicMystic, then came Evermore, MonkeyDoo, Douceswild, GeekWoman, madameRoslin, theAdmiral, colonelPanic, and most recently KingBabyDuck. We started out small, with only 1000 people on average hitting the site, and now, we do quite a bit better. I figure it has to be the crazy that keeps them coming back, because there is definitely nothing out there like us.
We will be making autographed DVD’s featuring all of the podcast episodes over the last two years available on the ESH site shortly.
Today, Pandalicious takes you through the anime series Bus Gamer based on the short series manga of the same name while NinJaSistah [slow on the update, admittedly] talks about her new Portal/OrangeBox experience. Even though MagicMystic was MIA for this recording, the girls were still able to find a way to off on some interesting tangents.

[you'll just have to listen to find out more about that one] Then NinJaSistah jumps in to add the sprinklings of gaming news including some first impressions on Legendary, and MagicMystic rounds out the show with another review of an edgy manga title. This title is hard to describe so I'll just give you the name...Deadman Wonderland.

In this episode of the podcast Pandalicious brings up the demise of the NewType magazine and notes the decline in printed review media focusing on anime or manga here in the US. Then MagicMystic chimes in with her thoughts on the very, very sugary anime series Shugo Chara by TV Tokyo. Not to be left out, NinJaSistah chimes in with some gaming news updates and continues on the sugary sweet anime series Sorcerer Hunters.

In this episode of the podcast Pandalicious brings up the anime/manga series Claymore to talk about recurring themes in popular anime series today with NinJaSistah. Then NinJa picks up the M1KT to give you the 411 on game announcements and playable demos available at this year's E For All Expo Oh yeah, then she rants about the damn expo.
It's a passionate conversation at times, with a few of the tangents that you've come to expect from ESH podcasts. Here is the list of rejected podcast titles so you have an idea of what's in this episode:
This Isn't Like That
Seeper Eloot Half-Demon Bitches With Big Swords
Panda Turns On Her Inner Censor In The Nick of Time
Ghost Wad's A Completely Different Game
It's The 15-Hour Plane Ride Keeping NinJaSistah Away From The Tokyo Game Show
In this week's episode, the NinJa flies solo in order to share her top 5 picks for video games that should be turned into feature length films. The criteria for these picks were that they had to be games that had not yet been turned into feature length films, and they had to kick ass. When you listen to the selections she's made, see if you can picture the flicks in your mind.
First off, it's new podcast episode time again here at Electric Sista Hood, and this one is a doosie. We've always tagged our podcast as "explicit" because it would take more time to edit out crap to make it "clean enough for iTunes" than it's worth. This week's really drives this fact into the ground, so I'm taking this extra opportunity to warn you, that this episode is NOT INTENDED FOR CHILDREN TO LISTEN TO!
In case you haven't caught on yet, this is episode 69 of the ESH podcast, and we figured it would only be proper to do an all hentai episode of the show. Pandalicious gives you the low down on Please Teacher and admits to a few of her own personal fetishes while MagicMystic talks about the dojinshiAlice in Sexland by Mashumaro Jyuubaori. Closing out the hour, NinJaSistah chimes in with the reasons for her preferences in hentai, and desire for at lease some semblance of plot.
It's just the two sistahs Pandalicious and NinJaSistah holding it down for episode 68. Pandalicious tries to help NinJaSistah wrap her mind around the anime series Nerima Daikon Brothers, and I emphasize the word tries. Then on the flipside of the hour, NinJaSistah glosses over some of the news from the Tokyo Game Show and shares her first impressions of the PS3 title Heavenly Sword.
Yeap, it's a fun, and weird hour this week, and if you don't believe me, just check out the rejected titles for this weeks episode:

Monday has once again sneaked up on us from behind with intentions of molesting your ears with a new episode of the ESH podcast.
I don't want to ruin it for you by going into too great of detail about this show right now, but Pandalicious leads off the hour with hands on review of Mario Party 8 on the Wii, and MagicMystic steps up to the M1KT to share her thoughts on Shin Megami Tensei Persona 3. Then NinJa closes out the podcast episode talking about the anime series Moon Phase, and the new Ninja Gaiden 2 trailer.
Oh yeah, we have a candy bitch. Congrats Ariel!!
Now, I give you, the rejected podcast episode titles:

In this episode, Pandalicious rants about the anime series School Rumble which happens to be a "romantic comedy" shonen while MagicMystic shares her thoughts on the manga series Flame of Recca. And no show would be complete without NinJaSistah ending out the show with some game news and or review, and this episode is no different. This week, NinJaSistah explores the popularity of classic games through online services like the Wii virtual console, XBLive, and the Sony Online Store. Don't forget the tangents. We sure didn't.
And don't forget, these unused titles that we threw out like an unwanted fetus.

A new podcast creation has been assembled by that crazy robot while the ESH podcast crew takes a mini vacay. I would try to describe to you what you are about to hear, but I'm not sure I understand it all myself.
What I will say is enjoy podcast episode #65: Where Do I Buy Manga?
Since it's nearly Monday and I am pooped, I decided to go ahead and post this weeks episode early as I may very well sleep the entire day away tomorrow.
Sure, sure, you may think I'm sounding like a lazy ninja, but I'm not. Every ninja worth his shuriken knows that one must heal all wounds and restore his strength before returning to a fight. That sounds so much better than just being "lazy!"
Back to this week's podcast episode. Pandalicious shares her experience with the cyberpunk comic Transmetropolitan, MagicMystic remembers the anime series Saiyuki and NinJaSistah drops the 411 on some upcoming game demos, releases, and general game deliciousness.
It's Monday, so you know we had to put up a new episode of the podcast, right? And so we have... I give you Episode 62 of the ESH podcast!
In this episode of the podcast, the sistahs are all by themselves and spouting off about everything from Manhunt 2 to the PS3 price drop and the hot guy in a little coat manga God Child. We don't lack for tangents here in this episode of the podcast folks, so jump right in and sample the ESH goodness of Episode 62: It's Animated Violence FFS!
Another Monday brings with it another new podcast episode from the land of ESH, and this one is all about Dragon Ball.
Pandalicious kicks off the episode with her thoughts on Dragon Ball. MagicMysticGrl steps up to the plate with her take on Dragon Ball Z witch then descends into a Saiyuki/DBZ compare and contrast tangent... mmm, yummy. Then NinJaSistah jumps into the fray relating her experiences with the Blue Dragon XB360 demo, opinions on the drawing style of Akira Toriyama, and the universe of anime to video game cross-over titles.
It's madness as usual on this episode our podcast. If you don't believe me, take a gander at the non-selected episode titles:

Monday rears it's ugly head once again, so you know what that means... it's new podcast day in the land of ESH!
This Monday, Pandalicious starts the conversation with the anime series Elfen Lied and MagicMysticGrl and NinJaSistah weigh in with their take on the series. You asked for it Vichus, and the sistah's try to deliver. The girls talk about the ability of Elfen Lied to be marketed here in the West, and whether or not strong sexual content or violent anime in general can stand a chance of making the mainstream here in the West.
Then NinJaSistah bats 3rd in order to share some of the thoughts and impressions that E3 07' left on her. It's a fun start to the week, so jump in and enjoy Episode 59: I Flash in Your General Direction.
When the Ninja's away, the Sistahs will play. That's pretty much what's happening in this week's new podcast as Pandalicious and MagicMysticGrl take the mic while NinjaSistah returns from the E3 convention.
Pandalicious, who's finally begun her search for a job, researches the anime series Desert Punk by watching its trailers. Magic, on the other hand, checks out a magic, red walnut and falls in love with the movie The Girl Who Leapt Through Time.
It's an episode that's certainly worth your time. And if you don't agree, you can take your magic, red walnut and return back in time to where you were before you listened. We've got the answer to everything! So please enjoy this week's Episode 58: Living in the Slums of ESHland.
All three regular hosts hop on the cast this week to bring you some info about some cool and not so cool goings on in the worlds of anime and video games. First up at bat is Panda "Stop Saying I Have Herpes" licious who shares with us her experiences with the anime Hare+Guu, which [like many anime series] is very weird.
Magic "I Forgot About the Giant Ball Monster" MysticGrl chimes in at the number two slot to share with us EVEN MORE.Hack// goodness with us by imparting her sort of found wisdom from .Hack//roots.
And bringing up the rear [as usual in this weekly menage] is NinJa "Get a Twinkie, Cuz Yer Gonna Need Brain Food" Sistah dropping her 2cents on the whole Manhunt 2 debacle.
Yeap! Grab yourself a Twinkie and something to drink, Episode 55: Welcome to the Eyefor Towel is up and running!
MMMM, new podcast episode day has once again decided to grace us with it's presence and bring with it Episode 53 of the ESH podcast.
Pandalicious goes all rear entry and shares her insights on Backstage Prince while NinJa laments her FREAKIN' FRAGGIN' XBox 360. I could tell you more, but the jet lag is kicking my ass.
MagicMysticGrl missed this taping, but you shouldn't!
Mmmm, Monday morning new podcast episode freshness coming right at ya folks!
The girls are back after a quick mini vacation with a new podcast episode that covers [among other things] the anime series Peach Girl, the works of Mayu Shinjo [including Akuma Na Eros and Love Celeb, and the XB360 title Bullet Witch.
Tune into this weeks episode to find learn more about all of that stuff plus get the answers to other questions. Questions like, are worms kosher? Does Pandalicious watch hentai with her mom? Can we go an episode without mentioning Bleach
So give Episode 52: The Darkness Tells Me To Hurt Puppies a listen, you'll enjoy it.
This episode is another gem in the ESH podcast cap people. We change up the order this week and kick the episode off with MagicMysticGrl's review of the anime series Kamichu!, a series that focuses on the main character learning one day that she's a god while Pandalicious and NinJaSistah compare and contrast their respective rocking experiences with Guitar Hero II on the PS2 and XB360. It's fun and full of tangets... it's Episode 50: Anything Stiff Can Be Broken!
Do I even need to tell you it's new podcast episode day? I didn't think so, but I did it anyways, because that's the way I roll here at the sistahood. This weeks episode just happens to be titled, "Episode 48: I French Fried When I Should Have Pizza'd" and is ready for a listen.
In this episode of the podcast Pandalicious tackles the tricky subject of Jesus in anime as discussed by a panel she went to at AB2k7 while MagicMysticGrl shares some cosplay "Do's & Don'ts" with you lovely folks in hopes of making your con experiences [and ours] better. And bringing up the rear as always is NinjaSistah with her take on the Wii game SSX Blur by EA Big. The conversation is deep at times, and for the other sixty minutes it's the usual laugh riot that you're used to.
All in all it's just another funMONday here in the hood, so grab your morning cup o' joe and enjoy the show.
This week, we have a "My Top 5" from Pandalicious, and she's pretty proud of it.
In this podcast episode Panda shares her picks for Top 5 Anime Men. I could give away the whole list, but then you'd have no reason to listen to the episode... so I won't.
Just do yourself a favor and get on board with this weeks episode, "My Top 5: Anime Men."
This week, the whole gang gets together to chat about [among other things] Yaoi vs. Yuri [wikipedia that stuff if you don't know what it means] MagicMysticGrl shares with us one more example of where the manga version of a title is better than the anime version with her take on Air Gear. Then NinJaSistah brings the show home with her 40 second review of Virtua Fighter 5 for the PS3 and then dives head first into her latest anime obsession, Phantom Memory Kurau.
It's a fun episode. We yell at each other as usual, and maybe have a profund-ish thought or two. But let me assure you, it's not about a chicken.
So grab a fresh cup of joe, and enjoy Episode 47: The Physiology of Donuts.
Since it's Monday an all we figured we better keep to script and give you guys a new episode of our podcast. It's with great pleasure I give you Episode 46: Care Bears Are Racist Bastards.
In this episode of the ESH podcast Pandalicious shares the first of her "A Thought, by Pandalicious" series. You might be asking yourself, "...what could that girl be thinking about now?" Well, she wonders about what the western world would be like if it was more anime in nature. Yeah, wrap your mind around that. Deep, man. Just deep.
MagicMysticGrl jumps into the mix with her take on Saiunkoku Monogatari a.k.a. Tale of the Land of Many-Colored Clouds. Saiunkoku is the tale of a girl pursuing a path of enlightenment that is not afforded women in her country and the trouble and hijinks that unfailingly follow on such a journey.
Then NinJaSistah brings home the show with her take on the new PSP push by Sony to save a sinking mobile gaming device ship. Will the new price point, ad campaign, and re-focusing of the target demographic help or hurt the so called killer app?
All you can do is take a listen and share your thoughts. So grab a cup of joe and a bagel, it's time for Electric Sista Hood podcast episode #46, Care Bears Are Racist Bastards!.
Well, not literally nature as is grass and trees and earth, but I'm sure you get the meaning. MagicMysticGrl shares some insights on the manwa title Can't Lose You by Wann which has the making of a great movie or at least daytime soap opera. Can't Lose You starts off like the Prince and the Pauper, but adds a layer of "say what?" and "you're related to who?" to keep the reader flipping through each volumes pages ferociously.
NinjaSistah kicks off the newly sponsored PC game title reviews thanks to Velocity Micro with, amazingly enough, World of Warcraft! Shame it had to be on a week where Pandalicious couldn't join the crew. If you want to know if WoW has a new addict fan or not, you're just going to have to give this episode a listen.
In this episode of the podcast, NinJaSistah and Pandalicious rave about their lust for the baddest assed video game character to date, the mighty Kratos and his new mythic adventure in God of War II.
From the base gameplay mechanics, to improvements from the first game, to the arc of the storyline the sisters give you the low down on Kratos' journey to the sisters of fate on the down-low. [Or at least something to that effect.]
Good things to happen in good time, and this podcast episode is one of them. Enjoy!
In this very special episode of ESH podcastopia MagicMysticGrl goes over the anime series Bleach with a fine tooth comb, and you're going to love it. And if you don't, Bob will kill a starving kitten in France.
Seriously, you don't want that on your conscience... so take a listen to this weeks podcast episode.
In this episode of the podcast Pandalicious shares her take on the World of Warcraft: The Sunwell Trilogy manga series by Jae Hwan Kim, and NinJaSistah sheds some light on the Ubisoft game Rayman Raving Rabbids.
It's fun, it's fast, it's Episode 42: WoW, Wii have an addiction!
The theme of this week's podcast is summed up by MagicMysticGrl: "We feed you. We clothe you. We amuse you." And it contains dozens of memorable lines you'll be repeating for weeks to come. Get it here.
Pandalicious starts things off with an anime called "Air," which is derived from, of all things, a dating Sim. And although the universe of Air is populated by dozens of girls and just one guy, Pandalicious finds it surprisingly good.
MagicMysticGrl can't pronounce the name of the movie Banlieue 13 (it's French), but under the Americanized name District B13, she was really taken with it and gives it very good marks.
NinjaSistah comes to the realization that the Internet is killing the lone gamer -- the pimply-faced kid sitting in his basement battling against the computer. PC games started the trend and consolers are increasingly making the switch to multi-player games and enjoying the interaction among gamers from all over.
It's an hour and 17 minutes of pure fun and we think you'll agree. -- Evermore
In this episode Pandalicious gives us the low-down on the wacky, weird, and well, bestial nature of the anime He Is My Master. She says it's only slightly pornish, I reserve my judgement until episode two gets reviewed. MagicMysticGrl tries to untangle the woven path of the manwa Priest and NinJaSistah talks exclusivity [or lack there of] between game developers and the PS3.
Another fun episode wrapped up and delivered with a bow: Enjoy!
In this episode Panda shares some thoughts and insight into what gamers want [and don't want] to see in the coming [we hope] Kingdom Hearts 3 game, MagicMysticGrl makes it back to the group session to share some Legend of Black Heaven info with you, and NinJaSistah brings a Gears of War/Crackdown demo compare and contrast to the show to end it.
We can't forget our new candybitch: Arrot! You rock man!
Oh yeah, the girls also chat about the march of the skanks, selling teapots into slavery, buying Keyblades at Wal-Mart, Pandalicious' shrub versus NinJaSistah's goomba, and a few other tangents. Made for you with love, [or something like it] Episode 38: This Isn't Marriage Counselling.
In this episode of the podcast, Pandalicious rants about Japanese dating sim games and why they shouldn't be adapted to anime series, how her mama didn't raise her to be her friend, and how she imagines she'd be if she was a dude. NinJaSistah on the other hand shares her Crackdown demo experience and rolls down a few tangents along the way.
We congratulate our new Candy Bitch P."Willoughby Jackson" and urge you to check out this episode of the ESH podcast.
In this episode of the podcast, Pandalicious talks about her disappointments with the World of Warcraft expansion pack The Burning Crusades while NinJaSistah delves into the simulation video game genre that she believes may be life draining. Along the way they talk about interventions, skipping work to play games, and how sleep is for the weak. The sistahs even break from the norm and give a shout out to the fine folks over at TokyoPop, purveyors of fine anime and manga.
So grab that first cup of mornin' joe and saddle up for Episode 36: You'll Believe a Pig Can Fly.
In this episode of the podcast Pandalicious and NinJaSistah talk about the super sweet, super saccharine anime series SuperGals and it's ability to pick you up when you are down then proceed to break down some of the super sweet things electronic in nature from the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Luckily for you what happened in Vegas, didn't stay there.
So pick up the new podcast episode and share in the joy... and don't forget to bring a towel!
Well, it being Monday and all it's time for a new episode of the Electric Sista Hood podcast. This post comes to you live after a few parties at the CES, so please forgive da typos. I'm tired and I no longer believe in spell check.
In this episode of the podcast we talk about everything from succubi to forming a manga group, [and the best naming policies] reasons why kids shouldn't listen to our podcast, the difference between movie remakes and prequels, the Columbine Massacre RPG game [and the surrounding hub bub] to finally which is better: lesbianism or beastiality. Yes, we cover a bit of everything in this here episode... so you better just give it a listen.
And remember, it's only fun until someone gets hurt... then it's freakin' hilarious! NinJaSistah OUT!
Now in all honesty, we talk mostly about ourselves in this episode... how we got into gaming, anime, manga, Trek, you name it, so we hope you enjoy it. [Especially since it's the only podcast episode you are going to get this week.] You wanted to know more about the ladies of the sistahood, and so now you can, er, will, um, I mean, do? Oh just listen to the episode and get to know our sticky balls.
Ok, I'm going to make this quick because I have to get to bed... you know, Santa and all. So here's the new podcast episode.
In this episode MagicMysticGrl talks about the importance and relevance of bloodtypes in anime and manga, Pandalicious shares His and Her Circumstances [Kare Kano] and NinJaSistah kicks the hour off with her final thoughts on the PS3. PS3 fanboys that think I'm a XB360 fangirl have your keyboards at the ready. Episode 32: It's In The Blood is my gift to you.
Congrats to our Candy Bitches Mike Costa and Tooky!
Honestly, I'm not exactly sure about what we exactly discussed during the taping of this episode, but I do know that Pandalicious was fascinated by a new anime series she caught a glimpse of called Kanon and MagicMysticGrl had some beef with the feature length [or not near enough length] film Eragon.
Me? I just had a bit of "c'mon back to reality with the rest of us" Sony news, and wanted to ask the gals about some growing trends I'm noticing in anime more and more these days. Oh yeah, I talk a bit about UFO: Ultramaiden Valkyrie and let the other two try and do the closing business. It's a fun episode, enjoy.
We sorta, kinda, well, "deviate" a bit from the planned topic slightly more than usual in this episode of the podcast... and while I can't remember everything we talk about in the episode as I write this [though I've listened to the episode a few time now] I can tell you that I remember talking about The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, La Corda d'Oro and Nintendo's Wiimote. At some point we also talk about Chris Farley, Oreos and reverse Oreos, Pandalicious' nuts being better than yours, and the Pokemon milkshake parody.
Oh yeah, can't forget the new "Magic Manga Mania" giveaway and to congratulate out new Candy Bitch: Andrew! Listen up people, it's getting crazy fun up in here!
