    Shinobi: Heart Under Blade

    posted @ 10/30/2007 10:37:00 AM by Douceswild

Last December, I wrote a short review on an anime titled Basilisk ~Ninpo Cho~ that told the tale of two lovers from feuding ninja clans that were pitted in a war against each other. It was more of a ninja spin on Romeo and Juliette.

I was thinking of re-watching Basilisk again when I received a tip about a live adaptation of the Basilisk anime titled Shinobi: Heart Under Blade. After some internet tracking, I was able to find and watch the movie and I've got to say that its pretty good. The plot is the same as the anime although a lot of things have been omitted in the movie. The fight sequences are amazing as each Shinobi uses their powers to defend their leader.

Check out the trailer and let me know what you think.
