NEWS | Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Updated Today

Microsoft updated the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility list today and changed how new Xbox 360 titles will be added to the list.

New to the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility List

Joining the list of over 100 Xbox 360 games that you can play on your Xbox One today are:

  • Aegis Wing
  • Age of Booty
  • Counter-Strike: Go
  • Jeremy McGrath’s Offroad
  • Sam & Max Save the World
  • Skullgirls
  • Small Arms
  • Soulcalibur
  • Space Giraffe
  • The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings

And, because the Xbox team really wants to celebrate this milestone, CD Projekt RED The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is also available as a free download on Xbox Live right now. But if you want to play it you'll have to act fast - it will only be available for free until February 5th. (And not available in Japan.)

To be in the know about which games have been added to the list regularly, bookmark this page and check it weekly as you won't have to wait a whole month between release updates anymore. As soon as a game is ready to be released and added to the list it will be.

If there's an Xbox 360 game that you'd love to see make it onto the list, let the team know.

I've got to get back to that page and see what oldies but goodies I'll be playing next week from the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility List.
