In Ascent: The Space Game, you mine resources, build colonies, participate in galactic politics and return civilization to space. After three years of development and one year in Early Access, the game is now available on Steam.

In what sounds like the ultimate sim, it is a deep exploration game, letting players make a full career from discovery of planets and asteroids. It features multi-player co op as participants combat against pirate ambushes. It has a single-player combat campaign.
