Second Hakuoki anime film coming this year

Hakuoki ~ Demon of the Fleeting Blossom: Warrior Spirit of the Blue Sky, a game turned into an anime, is the second feature film in this series and will be released later this year.

The film continues the story of Chizuru Yukimura’s search for her father. The Shinsengumi are combating the dangerous beings within Kyoto’s shadows, and things won’t be easy. As Chizuru and the men of the Shinsengumi fight for their city, and for their lives, the battle may draw closer than any of them ever imagined.

The film was directed and scripted by Osamu Yamasaki (Hakkenden: Eight Dogs of the East). Atsuko Nakajima (Get Backers, Ranma 1/2) handled animation direction and character design, with original character designs provided by Yone Kazuki (Kamigami no Asobi, Nobunaga the Fool). It is distributed by Sentai Filmworks.
