PaperSeven Announces "Blackwood Crossing" For PC, Consoles

Today Brighton-based independent studio PaperSeven -- made up of former Disney Black Rock Studio developers and The Room writer Oliver Reid-Smith -- has revealed their debut foray in the gaming realm: a story-driven adventure game entitled Blackwood Crossing.

Blackwood Crossing is a story-driven first-person adventure game, with the relationship between two orphaned siblings Scarlett and Finn growing apart exploring the concepts of coming of age and leaving childhood behind. When they cross paths with a mysterious figure, a seemingly ordinary train ride evolves into a magical story of life, love and loss.

“This is our first original game since forming PaperSeven and we are immensely proud to be announcing it,” said PaperSeven co-founder Alice Guy. “There’s been some fantastic narrative adventure games coming out in recent times - we’re hoping to take a place at this table whilst offering something different to what’s come before. Blackwood Crossing is evidence of our desire to explore experiences with depth and meaning, and create characters that challenge the often clichéd gaming landscape.”

Blackwood Crossing will be released later this year on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. For more information on PaperSeven, visit their official website. Check out the reveal trailer below:
