Is this any way to play Pokémon Go?
There was no hue and cry for such a capability, but a Chinese company making Android emulator software KOPLAYER has brought out the capability to play Pokémon Go on, of all things, a Windows PC.
Here's an excerpt from the press release: "Afraid of going out into the streets in this not-so-safe world we live in? Considering the possibility of bad traffic, poor road conditions and car accidents? Sick of battery issues? We are now introducing a new way to play Pokémon Go on your PC computer in a safe way with a bigger screen and more fun via KOPLAYER Android emulator.
"As an Android emulator, KOPLAYER has become the first choice of many users because of its stable performance and perfect compatibility. The big problem with Pokémon Go is the immense drain on your battery. No matter which mobile device and which mobile brands you are using, hunting down hundreds of wild Pokemon will be taxing. Playing on KOPLAYER Android emulator will help you to fix this problem. Save your battery and enjoy hunting and collecting as many Pokemon as you can by using KOPLAYER."
They seem very concerned about your battery, but they don't seem a bit concerned about portability -- or the fact that your electric cord is only a couple of feet long.
The release continues, "Pokémon Go gamers can use their keyboard to control and move in a convenient way. Click keyboard setting to use the WASD keys, then you can walk anywhere on the map without going outside to waste your battery and date usage."
You also won't be rubbing that valuable rubber off your ultra-expensive sneakers. They didn't mention that. But don't try dragging your PC outside with you. You'll hurt your back.
