Forza Horizon 3 an immersive racing experience
Forza Horizon 3 is what happens when the greatest racing sim of all time modifies its existing ride with a wide body kit and swaps in the all-wheel drive transmission. Playground Games has struck gold with this wildly popular, open-world sim that has brought us the same type of joy that titles such as Midnight Club 2 and the later Need For Speed titles. Seriously, when was the last time you could go flying off of a cliff in a race or free play and somehow miraculously land it to win?
The Horizon Festival has left the shores of Italy and migrated south. This years biannual festival resides on the coast of Australia. This time, though, you (as the player) are in charge of the Horizon Festival. You are tasked with public relations stunts, recruiting other drivers, completing races and expanding your festival reach across Australia, as well as other fan-generating events, such as speed traps and insane stunt jumps.
A Complete Racing Game
Forza Horizon 3 is top-to-bottom one of the most immersive racing experiences that I have ever put my hands on. Boasting a robust livery of imports, domestic and exotic/prototype cars, you'll find yourself building multiple variants of each car. You'll also find yourself, as you're leveling up, possibly winning cars via prize spins. Even better than that, you'll have the opportunity to race against your friends in both rival competitions and against their "Drivatars" (Forza's term for the game's ability to learn from watching you play the game).
Community Driven
Forza has always been a game of bests that rely on the rivalries you share with your friends (like past Forza titles). But what makes Horizon 3 special is its deep community. Everything from car clubs to designs and tuning specs can be shared with your friends and fellow Forza enthusiasts. Meet-up’s and races are also a major part to this community, which gives you an unforeseen amount of awesome in open-world races.
Forza Horizon 3 is the ultimate racing game. Beyond a couple of small performance issues when swapping between PC (via Xbox Anywhere) and the Xbox One S, Forza is almost perfect in every way. This is a racing game that will appeal to the most hardcore racing fan. But this game is also fun for the most casual of fans. Xbox has hit a home run this time.
