For the Sistahs of the ElectricSistaHood, playing video games used to be hunting and killing. But as they've grown older, there's a new aspect of gaming that overrides merely taking aim. They demand that the game has a worthwhile story.
That aspect of gaming shows up in both the games the girls have been playing lately. For Ninja, the game is Assassin's Creed Origins. Although Ninja says the game forces the player to become an inventory clerk, she's certain that there's a good story there. She has as yet to find it.
Panda is certain of the same thing in the game she's been playing: Danganronpa 3. As with any Danganronpa property, whether it be an anime or a game, there's a lot of death going on. But Panda is certain there must be a story going on as well. She just hasn't found it yet.
Of course, there are plenty of tangents going on as well in this week's show. Ninja recently visited a big video game arcade and brings back tales from the coin-op. She's also purchased items in Assassin's Creed via microtransactions and lives to tell about it.
You'll hear all of this and more on this week's show: ESH Cast #562: There’s a very good story in here somewhere .
