Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Adult Swim and the Cartoon Network have now been added to the terrorist watch list..
Today Boston was veritibly shut down as police and bomb squads investigated some badly planned advertising for the new Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie. Packages with wires and LED lights sticking out of them emblazoned with pictures of the Mooninites caused a panic as people freaked out, thinking that they were bombs. This was so big even the Department of Homland Security got in on it. Whoever thought this was a good idea should henceforth forfeit the right to think. But at the same time how high do you have to be to mistake some wires in a box for a WMD?

After writing this post I went and turned on the TV, nearly every major news channel is talking this story up. So, we can all expect to see this floating around on YouTube very soon.
Wait, I thought Mooninite logic was flawless? Seems like this might not have been the brightest publicity move that they could have come up with.
Just my idea, but my logic has been known to have flaws.
This picture of the Aqua Teen Hunger Force guys in court says it all. They were being asked if they understood the charges brought against them and this was their reaction.

Priceless!
Why is everyone blaming them? This was not an ill concieved marketing plan, it was brilliant and creative. The only thing that they did wrong was fail to realize how ignorant and scared the media has made America.
Yes people are perfectly within their rights to be paranoid with all that has happened but where do we draw the line?
I am sorry but I think this is the FUNNIEST thing I have ever heard in my life, I almost fell out of my chair laughing! They did a wonderful job of promoting the movie if you ask me.
All these people in Boston including the mayor saying that it was a prank and that it was not funny are just pissed becuase they look silly now.
That picture is awesome Douce. That'd be my reaction too...
What're they being charged with anyways, last I heard controvercial advertising/art and scaring stupid people weren't felonies. If they were arrested for something silly like causing a bomb threat the cops have the wrong guys, whoever called it in to the police is to blame for that. They also weren't the ones that shut down Boston, the SWAT teams, Bomb Squads and Department of Homeland Security did that all on their own.
Maybe Boston should attempt to oust their 4th grade reading level mayor before they get all excited and try to take Cartoon Network down.
I'm in NY, so I've heard enough about 9/11, Boston and what we don't want to happen again. But even though this cuased a negative response, Boston shouldn't have jumped to this awkward conclusion.
