    Rise of the New Assassin

    posted @ 4/17/2009 09:45:00 PM by Ninjasistah
To say that the original Assassin's Creed left me wanting would be an vast understatement. I try to avoid hype whenever possible but my efforts were in vain and it was nearly impossible to avoid. With Ubisoft taking another crack at Creed I find myself wanting to believe the hype.

AC2 sets out to separate itself from it's predecessor by following a new assassin Ezio, an Italian noble during the Renaissance who has been betrayed by the rival ruling families of Italy. In a press release sent out yesterday Ubisoft promises "new gameplay elements, diverse weapons and a profound character progression that will appeal to fans of the original Assassin's Creed..."

I will say that I do like the character style of the new assassin in the game, and I would be lying to you if I said the premise of running through the streets and buildings of renaissance Italy does not entice me on a few different levels. While I'm going to be a bit more cautious on the approach of this title, I am starting to look forward to it.

Besides, Ezio looks hot. Look for AC2 to drop on the platform of your choice this holiday season.
