Steam now loves free! There are several Free to Play MMOs out in the internet, uh, sphere, but can the average gamer keep up with them all? If you don't keep your eyes plastered on sites like Massively or MMORPG.com, you might not know what's out there to play with no affect to your wallet. So far, the list is small (there are scores of F2P games), but there are so many games which should be listed in the Steam Store.

Year after year, quite a few high profile MMORPGs come around to try and snatch the crown off World of Warcraft's head. This year, Rift is trying, and trying hard. I actually played a bit of the game and I agree with the critics; it's solid.

So if the price of the game is one of your barriers to playing, the price has been knocked down for the weekend!

Rift, the MMO that makes it a point to say it's the supposed World of Warcraft killer is now open for business. I wish I had the time/resources to invest in Rift, to see if it does do what WoW don't, but I tend to just download a lot of MMORPGs and then neglect them.
