For the last couple of years, Nintendo has started their E3 press conferences with my personal favorite first-party series The Legend of Zelda.  This year, there was a lot to talk about in terms of the Zelda franchise.  Not only did Ocarina of Time 3D come out just a few days ago, but we have downloadable titles for the 3DS and an orchestra touring the world playing music from the games.  The most exciting thing there for me though, was the updated look at The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.  What last year was little more than a Zelda-themed tech demo, now feels a lot more like a fully fleshed out game complete with a story.

We’re only a few short weeks away from E3 and rumors abound.  Everything from hardware to software announcements are expected at the conference, but one of the most talked about topics is Nintendo’s latest console codenamed Project Café.  There are things about it that seem too good to be true and others that are hopefully not true.  Which are the ones that seem more likely to be factual and which are bogus?  Let’s talk about that today.

In a wonderful turn of events, a little over a week ago, my girlfriend turns to me and says that she would like to help me buy a game.  After I awoke from the shock-induced coma, I instantly knew which game I was interested in checking out.  We went to the store and like a little boy in a toy store I pointed and jumped at Kirby’s Epic Yarn.  I have since played through the entire game and it has been a serious contender for one of my favorite games of this year.

The Trauma Center series for DS and Wii has always brought a unique experience in the video gaming world, what with its surgery gameplay and storytelling. Some have complained, however, that the series has become too predictable in regards to its style. Fortunately the folks at Atlus have created a new way of taking on this world thanks to the new Wii game Trauma Team.
