X Japan Announce New Album, US Tour

The most influential metal band from Japan is getting ready to invade America in a very big way.

In a press conference this past Thursday members of X Japan (Yoshiki, Toshi, Pata, Heath and Sugizo) revealed plans to tour the United States this fall. The band's first US Tour will have its first stop on October 1st in California, with ten cities on its itinerary (including Boston, New York City and Seattle). X Japan will play their first full show in the states at this year's Lollapalooza in August, following a short performance at Otakon with band members Yoshiki and Sugizo.

If that's not enough good news for you X Japan fans, then how about this: X Japan also announced that they plan to release their first album in 14 years this fall on the same day in America and Japan. The currently untitled album will contain the new song "Jade," the first American single for the record, as well as "I.V" (the only good thing about Saw IV), "Art of Life" and English versions of "Tears," "Rusty Nail" and "Kurenai." One other new song recently announced was "Born to Be Free," in which a music video was recorded recently at Los Angeles benefit show, and will feature a cameo appearance by Stan "The Man" Lee.
