My Favorite Anime Opening Theme for Fall 2012
It has not been an amazing season for anime music this fall. Don't get me wrong; most of the opening songs this fall were solid, so it wasn't a horrible season either. My problem is that a lot of the music I've encountered in the fall have that predictable anime OP theme sound. So the songs with the most sonic imagination made it to my short list, and only one is my favorite of the fall. Let's get to it, then!
My Runners-Up
"Abnormalize" (Psycho-Pass)
This is also an OP theme I love because the vocals are so breathy. The song then kicks the door in and picks up with guitar and drums less than half a minute in. That is where the fun truly begins!
"V.I.P" (Magi - The Labyrinth of Magic)
Yeah! Let's go on an adventure!! I mean, can you blame me for loving this song? That chorus picks me up like a, a, giant blue genie with a flute for a head.
