It's easy to tell when a puzzle game is doing a proper job when you can basically smell your brain starting to smoke during some of the puzzles. The Talos Principle: Deluxe Edition had many of these moments for me and it was refreshing to be so challenged by a puzzle game. This is not to downplay the amazing job the game does by taking the time to teach you every aspect of the puzzle system it has in place before flipping everything on its head and forcing you to think about those systems differently.

After such a long period since Portal 2, I have been waiting for a console-based first-person puzzle game worthy of my efforts. The Talos Principle: Deluxe Edition delivers in spades by offering challenging puzzles with a surprisingly deep narrative hidden in the text and audio logs. The Deluxe Edition even comes with the Road to Gehenna DLC packed right in there, which extends the game giving you even more puzzles to explore adding quite a bit to an already robust title.
