ESH Cast #533: We spend time carbon dating X-Men

Everybody managed to stay within voice this week, meaning that this show is brand, spanking new. And, as with most episodes after a hiatus, it quickly devolved into tangents.

And this week's show has a tangent that takes up most of the time. Ninja and Panda got caught up in comic book canon as they discussed the things that are right and wrong about past and upcoming comic book movies with characters from DC and Marvel.

As you can tell from the title of the show, they spend a lot of time discussing the minutiae of the ages of certain X-Men characters. There, of course, is no true answer to any of this. There were several different comic book series, the animated TV cartoons and the wildly confusing movies. How can you keep them all straight?

In addition to unfolding the hierarchy of mutants, the Sistahs talk at length about the just-announced Batgirl movie, the upcoming Spider-Man and Wonder Woman films, the movie Split, which Panda spoils, but actually doesn't, the upcoming "couch coverage" of E3 in June by ESH, the botched Microsoft fan fest registration and the anime Mortal Sins.

Panda also reviews the video game Star Control 2, but doesn't manage to mention the name of the game during the entire review.
