ESH Cast #573: This game turns gritty, violent crime into a party

Long-time listeners are going to hear something different at the beginning of this week's show. For the past 11 years, we have opened the show saying the were "the best" girl-gaming and anime podcast. That changes this week.

Sure, we're still the best (at least we think so), but we have never done enough to accentuate the fact that we are the ORIGINAL girl-gaming and anime podcast. We've been around, providing weekly commentary, since May 2006. That's before Obama became president. Steve Jobs, Michael Jackson and Prince were still alive. When we showed up, the term "podcast" had existed for only about a year. There were few gaming podcasts -- and they all consisted of almost exclusively males.

We were the first all-female podcast on the subject, and we've been around with mostly new shows (with some clip shows to fill in during vacations and such) for the longest time. Just look at the number at the beginning of the title, and you know we've been around a while.

And we think we're original in our execution as well. This week we discuss a wide range of topics -- video games like Kingdom Hearts 3, Shadow of the Collossus, Monster Hunter World and Assassin's Creed Origins, anime like Kakegurui and movies like the upcoming Black Panther.

And this week's title? In it, we're referring to an entertaining game that involves all your friends on their cellphones, called Hidden Agenda.

So please join us for a well-rounded show by listening to ESH Cast #573: This game turns gritty, violent crime into a party.
