ESH Cast #624: February’s no joke for games

Is there any such thing as too many video games? This month would make a good case in point.

There are simply too many games for Ninja and Panda to spend an adequate amount of time on them. Two of those games -- Kingdom Hearts III and Crackdown 3 -- are at the top of the girls' list, but there are too many other ones that are going to be taking an extraordinary amount of time in the days to come.

It's no wonder Activision is rethinking its need for all those extra developers. If Ninja and Panda don't have time to play the games coming out this year, maybe Activision shouldn't try to make so many.

We feel for those developers and other Activision workers who are going to lose their jobs. We know how tough it is to get a good one. We're pulling for their future success and hope they land on their feet.

In the meantime, the girls will be decrying the embarrassment of riches that they face. Maybe somebody will invent a little extra time to put on the clock.
