Steam free weekend for RPG Maker MV starts today

The RPG Maker Team at Degica has announced that this weekend through May 30, everyone has the opportunity to try their hand at game design with RPG Maker MV for free for the PC or Macintosh on Steam. In addition, RPG Maker MV is available to purchase from the Steam store for 50 percent off.

RPG Maker MV is the latest in a series of beginner game engines designed to let anyone make their own video games. RPG Maker is easy enough to learn to be used in tech camps and schools to teach children game design, but is also used by professional indie game developers.

Many talented designers and writers lack the art or coding skills necessary to make a game in most engines, but RPG Maker MV solves this with its simple and intuitive database, map editor and event editor. With these three tools, anyone can make a game by just pointing and clicking.
