Free Splatoon demo download for limited hours Aug. 25-28

If you've been wondering about the video game Splatoon, but have never been able to pull the inky trigger, here's your chance to get a demo to play for free. On Aug. 25-28, for limited hours, anyone who owns a Wii U console can downoad a free demo from the Nintendo eShop.

Free downloads will be available from 6-8 p.m. Eastern time, 3-5 p.m. Pacific time, on those days.

According to the Nintendo press release, "All you have to do is download the demo and launch the Splatoon Testfire demo during the designated hours to fight it out in Turf War battles. This fun multiplayer mode pits you and three other players against an opposing team of four to cover the most territory possible with colorful ink. It’s one of the core modes of Splatoon and is the perfect introduction to what the game has to offer."
