ESH Cast #618: New year. Same us.

Has it been a year already? It seems that we got tired of 2018 about three months in, and the rest was just an endurance race. But now we're here in 2019 and, like every year before it, it seems nothing's changed.

So what're we talking about in 2019? The same thing we've been talking about since Episode 1 of this show way back in 2006: Kingdom Hearts.

The very-long-awaited KH3 shows up in a few weeks, and what do we know about it? Not much, apparently. Although we were totally enamored with the first and second iteration of the game on consoles, we completely disregarded the versions of the game on the 3DS -- to our peril. Now that the third version is finally arriving, it appears that it is mostly based on the 3DS games. We've got to spend the next three weeks scrubbing through words and videos on the internet just to catch up.

And that's not all we talk about on this week's show. The subjects include the games Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Bayonetta, Crackdown, Skyrim, Devil May Cry, Minecraft, Papers Please and Don’t Feed the Monkeys.

We've got a lot of games waiting for us in the wings, so we're divesting ourselves of games we've been playing way too long already. And we have to wait a whole 'nother year for all those end-of-year parties.

So get back to work, put on your headphones and give a listen to ESH Cast #618: New year. Same us.
