ESH Cast #617: I was 74 hours in when I realized I didn’t like the game

We see a lot of video games -- we get some for free, and we buy others. The amount of money we spend on a game has no relationship to what we think about it.

We tend to like games we buy, but that's not always the case. Take, in point, games in the Assassin's Creed franchise. We absolutely adore some of them and despise others. Before starting to play the latest version, Odyssey, there were two A.C. games that we never finished. Now there is a third.

It's not that we didn't try. Ninja put 74 hours into Odyssey, but, even though she hasn't completed it, she may not go back in to finish it. There are too many other games tugging at her sleeve, demanding attention.

And, she admits in this week's show, she found that she didn't much like the game after all.

It's a well-rounded show. In addition to talking about Odyssey, the girls discuss the upcoming YouTube gaming channel from Jack Black, starting Red Dead Redemption 2, watching the entire My Hero Academia series, the games Dragon Quest 11, God of War and Night in the Woods.
