Yakuza will see its import for the US in Spring 2011. So enjoy a teaser for the brawls to come:
With E3 coming to us next week, I couldn’t help but think of the bazillions of sequels to existing IPs that are inevitably going to be announced. With stuff like Dead Space 2, Infamous 2, Little Big Planet 2, Kane & Lynch 2, Dead Rising 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum 2 and all the other twos that are headed are way soon, one can only wonder if this is a good or a bad thing. While some might argue that having so many sequels might devalue the series and take the spotlight away from the new stuff, there are plenty of great things about sequels that make them great.
Well, it’s official, there is going to be a Little Big Planet 2. I’ll admit, I wasn’t sure how this game was going to be possible, but after seeing the reveal trailer I am a true believer. It looks to offer up not only a better way to craft many different genre of games, but a way to string them all together into a full-sized lump of craziness.
Yakuza 3!!! Yakuza, for the U.S., is the little open world beat-em-up that could, with sequels that were in danger of not coming to our shores. Now there's the Yakuza 3 demo, which puts me in a precarious position, since I haven't beaten Yakuza 2 yet.
