...everywhere you look, including here in the land of ESH. We finish out the year with the end of our holiday buying guide wrap up podcast episode and Loserly from Dead Pixel Live

In this, the final episode of the ElectricSistaHood podcast for 2009, we rehash our Holiday gift buying guide episode with a couple of editions including some from guest host Loserly of DeadPixelLive fame.

We added some more audio equipment-type gifts like the Beats by Dre Tour in-ear headphones, some pocket-type synths from ThinkGeek. To give you an idea of how this show goes, here are some of the titles we came up with but didn't use:
    • Ninja's Tongue Needs a Wheelchair
    • AND It Helps If You Need to Move a Whale
    • Panda's Word of the Day: Facetious
    • Sandwiches in the Dark — How Romantic
    • Panda Says She Likes It From All Directions — And She Calls US Perverts
    • and finally
    • The Economy Needs You to Buy Stuff For Me

It's a fun episode... chock full'o ladies [one of which may be slightly tipsy] chock full'o great gift ideas, just chock full'f fun. So grab a cup of your favorite drink and enjoy ElectricSistaHood podcast episode 177: Panda Likes Length, Depth and Girth

This Holiday Season Brings with it a fairytale.

    Ho Ho Ho! Merry Bloodshed!

Holiday season this year seems to be chuck full of trinkets, accessories and games that will titillate gamers during these cold hibernating months. If the buzz and hype doesn’t keep us all warm, our fingers frantically pushing, rotating and flicking will do it for us!

Those of us under the XBOX360 mantle have several games to look forward to this holiday. Some of our lists of games may look similar like: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Assassins Creed 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Brutal Legend, and Halo ODST. However since we are all different but all seem to harbor a sliver of desire for pixilated bloodshed and mutilation let me shed some light on a little game called Fairytale Fights.

This was the first closed demo that I got to catch a glimpse of at E3 ’09. It seemed harmless enough, very colorful and animated. It wasn’t until a few moments later that I noticed that the color red splashed over the screen far more often than any other color. It had an odd sense of Christmas really, green rolling hills, splattered with the blood of the innocent; it leaves a warm fuzzy feeling deep inside my heart.

Innovation was on the forefront of Playlogic Entertainment’s mind when this game came into being. They took something that was wholesome and pure from our childhood (Which is ironic since most fairytales weren’t very happy at all in their proper contexts), gave them a hatchet, an arsenal of very sharp, pain-inflicting weapons and let them duke it out the way we always imagined they would. Of course this could only done on a hack n slash platform. The most interesting fact about this game is that it runs on the unreal engine 3.

Fairytale Fights comes to XBOX360 and the PS3. Sorry you Wii lovers this game will not be coming to you, but I know you as well as I think you do, I’m sure you have one of the two consoles stated previously, so you’ll enjoy it too! If the chance arises to give this game a run through, it is suggested you do so. A little bloodshed didn’t hurt anyone did it? (Well…you know what I mean.)

    NinJaDay Is Nearly Upon You

    posted @ 12/04/2007 11:13:00 PM by Ninjasistah
I'm not kidding. You should really take extra care December 5th, [tomorrow or today, depending on when you read this post] as it will be the 2nd annual occurrence of "Day of the Ninja" and ninja will be EVERYWHERE!

Day of the Ninja is the one day a year where nonja [non-ninja] can act like ninja, partake in ninja games like "Hide and Go Kill", "Kill-a-boo", "Tic-Tac-To-The-Head", and "Pin The Shuriken In Somebody" but using non-lethal play ninja weapons and tools. Day of the Ninja is indeed a great and honorable holiday.

You may be wondering, "...but how do I, a nonja, participate in Day of the Ninja?" Well, Ninja Burger and The Ninja from Ask A Ninja have collected a bunch of resources to help you take advantage of common nonja household objects that will aide you in your ninja activities.

Last year at this time, I was asked by a nonja friend of mine why they had never heard of "Day of the Ninja" and why I thought it could even compare to that talk like a pirate day. After I filled the wounds I inflicted on him with some healing balm I began my explanation citing how pirates are weak creatures, have no honor, and are easily slain. Having a day where the simple act of adding "arrrrrgh" to the beginning or ending of a sentence does not make for a "holiday" in my book. Where are the games? The shenanigans? No where to be found on that pirate day thing.

December 5th is the one day a year that you can let you inner ninja out to play, take advantage of it people. Send us pictures of you ninja-antics [on the job or in your home] to fresh at electricsistahood dawt com. I'll post a gallery of ninjaness later on in the day for your enjoyment.
