Join sisters NinJaSistah and Pandalicious and the rest of the ESH Crew each day as they discuss video games, tech gadgets, anime, manga... pretty much everything within the geek chic lifestyle.
From Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, and PC game reviews, previews, news, and gushings to audience questions and rumor mill seeding galore you'll find it here at ESH!
New podcast Monday is here once again and this hour long show is jam packed full of puns and bad jokes.
This week, NinJaSistah and Pandalicious talk about Apple's newly announced (and poorly named) iPad device and their first reactions to the device. The ladies also work in a plug for the new ESH YouTube channel, Flickr account, and FaceBook group... but mostly wrap their minds around the iPad.
To get a better idea of what the show is like, here are some of the titles that came up but were not chosen:
A Braile iPad Would Make Quite an Impression
Pada Says All Her Appliances Are Masculine
Video IS the Radio Star
Comedy – Comment – And Another "C" Word I Can't Think Of
Pandalicious and NinJaSistah welcome guest host PyroGirl to the show to chat about the anime and manga series Shugo Charawhich former host MagicMysticGrl talk about back in the day. NinJa pretty much just adds the color commentary [sometimes with a really bad "valley" impression] as both Pandalicious and PyroGirl try to impart the seriousness that is Shugo Chara. By seriousness I mean heart of people birthing eggs housing their inner selves... cute, little, chibi selves.
Shugo Chara is a hard series for me to explain so we'll just impart a quick run down: Cat-Boy not-so-bad-baddie, hints of pedophilia, magical girl syndrome, and girls that turn out to be boys. Oh yeah, probably has some incest in there as well, but the anime series is 102 episodes deep keeping Chara from being some fly-by-night series. Need more convincing to listen to the episode? Here are some of the titles we didn't use
All these 80's Movies are Turning Her Into ValleySistah
Ferrets Steal Shiny Things Like Magpies (But Magpies Aren't Shiny)
For Most Eggs, Their Dreams Ends At KFC
I Thought Keybearers Liked Small Locks
and finally
It's a Good They Didn't Mention the Incest Until Last
Both NinJaSistah and Pandalicious have played through the game and spend the bulk of the hour tripping through the awesome gameplay that is Bayonetta while spoiling the story ending, plot points and more. Did you know there was a music video at the end of the game? You do now!
We even answer an audience question or two, touch on James Cameron's movie Avatar and start sharing some of the audio interviews Evermore and I conducted during CES 2010. Need more incentive to take a listen, check out some of the titles we came up with for this episode but didn't use:
Climaxes Are Different — We'll Get Back to Those
She's Wet — And It's Not Just Because She's Been At the Bottom of a Lake
and finally
The Last Naked Woman to Be Taken Seriously Was Eve
Although this girl is pointing to somewhere in the desert of Saudi Arabia, the Sistahs weren't even close to there when recording this week's podcast. Instead, NinjaSistah was in the desert (Las Vegas), covering the Consumer Electronics Show, while Pandalicious was comfortably at home in the snowdrifts of New England (and perhaps pant-less).
As you might expect, CES was at the forefront of their discussion on the podcast this week, focusing on 3D television technology, e-readers and some new games for the PS3, as well as some talk on Google's new Nexus One phone.
Here are the titles we rejected for this week's podcast:
Now Vanna Can Turn the Letters Right In Your Living Room
(By the way, the girl in the photo is a representative of Kimin Electronic Co., Ltd., a company which manufactures large -- up to 42-inch -- touchscreen monitors. It's very impressive stuff, but they don't fit in your pocket like an iPhone.)
A new Monday. A new year. A new clip show piece will kick off 2010 for us here in the land of ESH.
As the next day effects of ushering in a new year subside and I finalize CES travel preparations Evermore has put together an extra bit for those of you who listened to our farewell to toast episode through iTunes last week. [If you catch the show on AllGames.com then you will get piece two of the podcast this week]
Next week, we will be bringing you our final thoughts before leaving the bouncing bosom of Las Vegas with our CES wrap up episode.
to Toast. Yes, this is the final episode where Pandalicious and NinJaSistah will be signing off with Toast, a familiar piece of the podcast to those who have been with us for any long period of time. We could think of no better way of saying goodbye to toast than to give it it's own episode.
Culled from nearly all 177 episodes of our show and featuring former podcast co-host MagicMysticGrl and various guest hosts, here is Electric Sista Hood podcast episode 178: A Farewell to Toast!
In this, the final episode of the ElectricSistaHood podcast for 2009, we rehash our Holiday gift buying guide episode with a couple of editions including some from guest host Loserly of DeadPixelLive fame.
We added some more audio equipment-type gifts like the Beats by Dre Tour in-ear headphones, some pocket-type synths from ThinkGeek. To give you an idea of how this show goes, here are some of the titles we came up with but didn't use:
Ninja's Tongue Needs a Wheelchair
AND It Helps If You Need to Move a Whale
Panda's Word of the Day: Facetious
Sandwiches in the Dark — How Romantic
Panda Says She Likes It From All Directions — And She Calls US Perverts
Kicking off the hour we talk about some of the teaser trailers for newly announced games in the Medal of Honor and Green Day: RockBand franchises. Then the ranting goes to the next level and we go through some of the more controversial category winners like Jack Black for "Best Voice Performance" and which set Pandalicious off.
Check out some of the titles we came up with, but didn't use for this episode:
It's Not Cute, It's Not Pretty and It Doesn't Whistle
A new Monday morning brings with it a fresh episode of the ElectricSistaHood podcast, are you not entertained? Well, after catching this episode filled with cutting room floor goodness you will be.
In this episode of our weekly podcast, NinJaSistah introduces three segments of content we had to cut from previous episodes that have yet to air on a final episode of our podcast... until now that is. First up are some of the things we cut from our original airing of our holiday gift guide, including the RoboTech Saga anime series, iPod Touch, and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 titles.
The next segment kinda keeps the holiday theme going by talking about how much both Pandalicious and NinJaSistah hate Christmas gifts/holiday decorations appearing commercially before Halloween has even happened. In the final segment of the podcast, we give you some of the anime stuff that NinJaSistah has talked about recently, but hasn't made it to your eardrums like Kiba and Maria Watches Over Us.
Shoppamas is upon is folks, as in-escapable as new podcast episode Monday here in the land of ESH.
In this episode of the podcast NinjaSistah and Pandalicious are joined by Xenocore to share with you some of our best of picks of what to gift the Geek/Gamer/Anime Fan in your life. Pandalicious kicks off the hour talking both games and gadgets including Skullcandy headphones and earbuds for both audiophiles and gamers on the go. Then Panda shares her pick for family fun sharing-time goodness, Lego RockBand, and for the competitive gamer Demon Souls on the PS3 and Modern Warfare 2 which is multiplatform. Her section of the show ends with Activisions' DJ Hero
In this episode of our weekly podcast NinJaSistah kicks off the podcast talking about UbiSoft's latest release Assassin's Creed 2 and the things that are better in this new title as well as the things that still need a bit of tweaking. Then Pandalicious chimes in to the episode with her impressions of Warner Brothers new Lego Rock Band title which spurs a bit of a warm discussion about the evolution of the music game genre and audiences.
Need a sample of what this episode is like, take a look at the titles we came up with but decided not to use.
Free Pony Rides Included
Someone Needs Her Ginkos Biloba'd
Don't Ever Tell Your Mom You Have Outlets
Uncharted 2 Would Look Gorgeous In Legos
Now, when you make it to the end of the episode, make sure to hit us up at Questions@ESH.mobi with your suggestions for great games to get with your first PS3. We will add whichever game gets the most love to our "Get Me This Shit For the Holliday" episode. But until we tape and produce that one, kick back and enjoy Electric Sista Hood Podcast 173: Assassinate Creed? Where Do I Sign Up?
In this episode of the podcast, the gals share [and spoil] Infinity Wards's latest belle of the ball Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. We answer an audience question about MW2, put the "No Russian" level controversy to bed, and end the MW2 section of the show debating virtual violence versus actual violence and how the issue affects the gaming community.
Deep right? We thought so too, so then Pandalicious changes the topic to zombie hunting and how to prep to survive the zombie apocalypse. It's a good episode of the podcast, check out some of the titles we ended up not using:
If Artificial Intelligence is Getting Dumber, How Artificial Can It Be?
It Doesn't Glorify War, It Glorifies Killing Innocent Pixels
In this episode of the podcast the girls finish up their impressions on Activisions' DJ Hero title and Naughty Dog's Uncharted 2 title but from the opposite perspectives this week. Pandalicious kicks off the hour running down her experiences with DJ Hero and then rolls her random self into her review of the new Disney movie, "A Christmas Carol: In 3-D." After a short rant about starting the Christmas season early by NinJaSistah, she picks up the mic and shares her rundown of the PS3 title Uncharted 2. Oh yeah, we talk about the lack of strong female characters that are both sexy and smart. Check out some of the titles we didn't use for this episode:
In this episode we help kick off the start of November with a podcast full of gaming. Starting off with NinJaSistah's coverage on the new Activision title DJ Hero on the Xbox 360 while Pandalicious talks up both Uncharted 2:Among Thieves for the PS3 and Playlogic's new FairyTale Fights game.
We are chock full of game goodness in this one ladies and gents. We even briefly mention the new Magic Mouse from Apple and Tekken 6 Here's a quick glimpse of what this episode is like:
Bobby Blue Bland — Say That Three Times Fast
Is It Possible to Spoil the Plot of Little Red Riding Hood?
Counting the Strokes Detracts from the Experience
and finally
It's Cartoony to Make You forget About All the Bloodshed
Sure, it would be easy to make a double entendre title for this weeks new podcast episode but we take the high road here at Electric Sista Hood.
Ok, actually we don't, but it was a fun way to start this podcast post. This podcast episode is ALL game, no anime, no gadgets. Pandalicious kicks off the hour with her final thoughts on the PSP game Obscure: The Aftermath by Playlogic, including a recommendation to play it on something soft. She says the game is scary, and you'll through your PSP around like a rag doll. Then she goes into a spiel about her first reactions to the new 2K Games title Borderlands and explores the parallels between it's gameplay elements and the PC title Diablo. We then have a spirited conversation about how to get PC gamers over to the console gaming side of the fence.
Then I finish out the hour talking about my experience with the social stuff on the Xbox Live Preview including Twitter and FaceBook. Closing out the hour is NinJaSistah's review of the EA title Need for Speed: Shift on the PS3. It's a busy episode, here are some of the titles for it that we didn't use:
This One Made Me Sing to Barney 'Til Dawn
Beware Games With Boys Choirs
Skeeziest Line of the Year: "The Flower Inside Me Has Just Bloomed!"
It's new podcast Monday and we have a full boat of topics in this episode.
In this week's episode NinJaSistah and Pandalicious discuss some of the animated DC Comic movies that have been released lately as well as many of the DC based animated series and their impact on the mid-20-something crowd. The conversation that switches to some of the live action flicks including the Marvel options and then Pandalicious grabs the mic to talk movies.
First up are Panda's post-viewing thoughts on the new "Where the Wild Things Are" movie, including who the best audience for the movie is and IS NOT. Then she moves on to "Law-Abiding Citezen" staring the very sexy [very Scottish] Gerard Butler. Finishing out the hour is NinJaSistah's post-mortem on the EA/Double Fine game Brütal Legend.
In this episode of the podcast, the ladies chat about various gaming news items and answer a couple of audience questions, and it's a good ride. We have another "what should I be for halloween" question, a question about the upcoming 2010 "Alice in Wonderland" release, and revisit how being being financially strapped in our youths has shaped how we purchase games in our adult lives from SlimTaurus78.
Randomness doesn't escape the show, once again the Vampire/Daywalker/Twilight debate rears it's ugly head but it is counter balanced by upcoming video game releases for the month of October, the anime series "Alice Academy" and Pandalicious rounds out the hour with her late impressions of Call of Duty 4.
Here is a better way to give you the gist of what this episode is like:
Let's Give Twilight the Silver Bullet
I Want to Spit Love, Peace, and Acid
ESHmom, sign This - Don't Read, Just Sign
Is Jay-Z Beyonce-Whipped?
Where Bastards Are Found, Wenches Always Follow
and finally
Soap McTavish Is Not the Scottish Version of Irish Spring
The best way to kick off the beginning of a fresh new week is with a new episode of the Electric Sista Hood podcast. This one has an audience question, video game reviews and anime... the holy trifecta of ESH!
We start off with a question brought to us by William Bell of TheXboxDomain which fuels the conversation for the bulk of the show about how nit-picky we have become as gamers. From growing up and having to learn to love what you get, to almost being apathetic as new titles flood the market. Pandalicious and NinJaSistah don't really come to an agreement on the subject, but it is a fun journey towards an answer nevertheless.
Then we move on to hands-on video game reviews of Bethesda Softworks new release Wet on the PS3 and NinJaSistah's knee-jerk reaction to the DJ Hero demo. Then we chat about the Dreamcast/PS2 games available via PSN rumor and Pandalicious tops out the hour with her coverage of the anime series Black Buttler
Here is a quick glimpse into what the episode is like:
Five-Year-Olds Don't Need Boom Boxes
My Douche-Baggery Made You Better
I'm Not Condoning Eating Cats
Videogames Are Not a Pos-Apocalyptic Guide
and finally
Spoiler Alert! Bambi's and Norman Bates' Mothers Both Dead
I can't seem to get the image out of my mind. Every time I hear the name of Douceswild's own podcast, I get images of Oliver Wendell Douglas riding a tractor.
But Geek Aggro is not about farming nerds. It's a delightful podcast about gaming that I really enjoy. If you're already a fan of the Sistahs, you should add Geek Aggro to your regular podcast rotation.
We have a bunch to cover in this one folks, there's The Beatles Rock Band, followed by the Guitar Hero 5 debacle between Courtney Love and Activision, and the pending DJ Hero title looming on the horizon. We tackle all these topics in the episode as well as a non complete spoiler review of the movie "Gamer" fresh on the heels of it's theatrical debut.
For an idea of what this episode is like, here are the titles we didn't use:
Next: Kurt Cobain in Space Channel 5
Just to Make It Clear - It's Beatles Music
Come Together Means a Whole Different Thing to Pandalicious
Courtney Loves' Next Twitter Message: FML
It's Like Tron Meets the Running Man
The Only Message Gamers Understand Is "All Your Base Are Belong To Us"
This year we were unable to attend PAX, but it's ok because we regrouped and still put together ESHa great new episode of our podcast for you to enjoy.
Pandalicious and NinJaSistah have put together a show featuring some of their favorite gear and gadgets to help you go back to school (or just work) in style. From BBP bags and backpacks yo adorable and geeky flash drives by Mimoco there are very few things the gals leave out that can be useful to any geek on the go.
The full list includes bags by Skooba Design, Booq, and BBP, mobile gaming via DS or iPod Touch, Getting Things Done apps like Remember the Milk and the Hit List, and of course Google.
We had a great time putting this list together and hope you enjoy and use ESH Podcast Episode 162:
Pandalicious kicks it all off with a rant about lousy Swiss Gear bags and delivers advice on three much better choices: Scuba Design, booqbags.com and bbpbags.com. Then she and NinjaSistah discuss the good and bad points of the various portable gaming options available out there.
The Ninja carries on the discussion, talking about computer applications to help you get things done: OmniFocus, Hit List and Remember the Milk. She also highlights a company -- mimoco.com -- that says not all thumb drives have to be dull and boring. She concludes with advice on how to get a big screen TV on the cheap, and how to get great computer applications absolutely free.
It's an episode filled with double entendres, as you can see from the list of rejected titles:
For All Freshmen Who Can't Spell "Book"
It's a Book Bag That'll Get You a Date on Friday Night
It Would Be Dangerous to Bring ESHmom to Psychology Class
This Bag Solves the Housing Problem on Campus
Amish Girls Gone Wild? They Are Experienced With Butter Churns
What If Your TA Has Really Good T&A?
If You Find a Girl Who Can Fill Out Your Porn Collection, Marry Her
We aren't talking punch and pie, we are talking uppercuts and decks to the face in this episode of the podcast. I should clarify that statement. Pandalicious is talking uppercuts and face decking, NinJaSistah mostly just tries to stay out of the way.
In this episode of the podcast Pandalicious lays bare her tale of woe concerning the temporary loss of her XBox Live account, and how the lack of connecting is affecting her life. From the bounce around treatment of customer care reps on both the XBox Live email and phone support, and quick response from the Windows Live ID groups to the soon-to-be-catch-phrase-of-the-end-of-summer, "...and then you get punched in the face!" Calling her segment a rant doesn't do it justice.
Bringing a little bit of tranquillity back to the show, NinJaSistah adds some gadget/peripheral stuff to the mix like Ion Audio's new $199 DrumRocker Core Rock Band kit as well as some info on the new Star Wars comics coming to an iTunes store [and Dark Horse hopes] and iPod/iPhone near you. Capping off the hour is a bit on the Square Enix PSP title Final Fantasy Dissidia and a heads up for your PAX attendees on a Tekken 6 tournament for prizes that you should jump on.
Want a better picture of what the episode is like? Here are the titles we didn't use:
From Now On, It's Panda-Phish-Us
LadyESH Is Secure in Her Chastity Belt
If Xbox Live Doesn't Get Their Act Together, They're Going to Be Xbox Dead
Remember What Happened to Bambi's Mom? That's What This Is Like
Something Like Tis Could Drive Someone Back to the Loving Arms of WoW
Screw Criminal Justice -- I'm Switching to Victim Justice
Perhaps the Perpetrator Was Someone From Sony

Something's Rising at PAX Yeast
Don't Drive and DS
Hello Kitty's Already Doin' It
and finally...
I've Resorted to Playing My Wii -- and That's Not Gaming At All
Oh yeah! It's the beginning of the week, so you know we have to hit you with a new episode of the podcast right?
In this episode of the podcast, Pandalicious kicks the show off with what she took away from the new Tarantino flick "Inglourious Basterds," followed by some open conversation about the Rock Band support for the Lips wireless microphones as well as the new PS3 slim. Then we back the conversation up to games and NinJa jumps in with quick reactions to both Live Arcade titles Trials HD and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled.
To give you an idea of what this episode is like, here are some of the titles we didn't use:
It's Not a Spoiler Alert If You Spoil It Before the Alert
It's Got T.I.T. Right In the Middle
Canada Isn't a Religion
Don't Waste Your Microsoft Points -- You're Going to Need Them
The PS3 Slim Is No McLovin
and finally,
The Only Girls On the Internet Asking for Stalkers
We got a great question a while back from Trinity Angel and finally got a hold of it and a great round table to talk about it. So we kick the episode off right talking about MMORPG's and how they do or do not translate well on to consoles. Then NinJa jumps in to chat about the pending Marvel Alliance II game, nerds out on comics for a second or two and then Pandalicious swings the convo around towards the new season of The Guild with avid gamer and social media addict Felicia Day.
We had a great time, and a great discussion, if you want proof here are some of the titles we didn't use for this one:
90 Seconds of Awesome, 70 Hours of Drudgery
There's Massively Multiplayer, But 256 Is Ridiculously Multiplayer
They'll Be Back, Doing God-Knows-What to God-Knows-Who
With a Last Name Like Doom, This Doctor's Not Going to Follow the Hippocratic Oath
Stan Lee's Going to Be a Playable Character, Unlike Real Life
Panda Wants the Nipple Cut Out
When You're In It, You Don't Know How In It You're In
Everyone Knows You Can't Shoot Beams From Your Staff
This Monday, we have a special new episode of the ESH podcast. In this episode we welcome our very own King Baby Duck to the hosting chair to talk a bit about his new team project, The Boston Bastard Brigade, among other things.
Those other things include EA's The SIMS 3, the new Gears of War 2 DLC, and some knee jerk reactions to the Batman: Arkham Asylum demo available via both the XBox Marketplace and the PSN store. Pandalicious even chimes in with her impressions of the new Xbox experience preview including the Avatar Store, Netflix parties, and even some games on demand stuffs.
We are chock full of laughs, tangents, and maybe a Naruto dig or two. To give you an idea of what this show is like, here are some of the titles we didn't use for this episode:
What Did Cake Ever Do To Her?
I'm Gonna Touch It - No, I'm Not
Perhaps That's Why They Call it Project Natal
The Naruto Door Is Marked "Exit"
This Is a Warning For All Aspiring Spinal Tap Drummers
Your SIM Oughta Check Out That Julia Child Movie
Pana Will Work - For Microsoft Points
Avatar Marketplace - Isn't That What Started the Civil War?
The Ninja girl came down with an abominable case of laryngitis that she just could not shake, so it was left to Pandalicious and Evermore to put together a great show. Would they be able to pull it off? What kind of show would they produce? First of all, of course they would pull it off, they are awesome and "B" it would almost have to be a clip show ya silly.
It's a cutting room floor show ladies and gents, featuring all previously un-aired ESH bits like an audience question from Jerel Smith, some Portal and Portal 2 talk from Episode 107 and even Ultimate Quest podcast host Xenocore's top 5 anime series to learn by. There is a bunch of fun tid-bits, extra tangents, and as always cursing and laughter.
When they say that it's tough to keep all your balls in the air, the Sistahs know that situation all too well. And it's very evident in this week's podcast.
Besides an overdose of references to balls, the Sistahs perform a first this week -- their first review of an iPhone/iPod Touch game: Rolondo II. In addition, Pandalicious talks about trying to boost her abilities in Gears of War II, as well as trying to really understand the anime Red Garden.
As always, there were more proposed titles than they could ever use. Here are this week's rejections:
The Double Entendres Have Double Entendres
You Spread Things Open, You Flick Them and You've Got Balls
You're Gonna Want to Play With These Balls
Ngmoco? Ngplease!
C'mon Plot, It's Time to Move
It's Like Zombies in the City
You Can't Use the Analogy Unless You've Really Been Kicked in the Face
This Episode Is the Balls
We usually tell you to sit back, relax and enjoy the show, but you're going to be doubled-up in laughter as the Sistahs present podcast episode 155: I Said Cog Already! Cog!
Things always seem to run right off the tracks when the Sistahs are joined by a guest, and there's no exception to that in this week's podcast. The girls are joined by Alphabox of Dead Pixel Live -- and you've got to hear it to believe it.
Panda enthuses about Prototype, Alpha takes off on Battlezone and Ninja relates her pleasure with the Xbox 360 game show 1 vs. 100. And there are ethnic slurs and a pre-show discussion on balls that's guaranteed to bring on a giggle or two.
Want more proof? Here are the titles that we rejected for this week's show:
If Only the Game Was Like the Box
Would Zombie Sims Be Zims?
Short? Like Gherkin Short?
Seeking Nice Looking Guy With Lightning
Panda's Boyfriends -- All of Them -- Should Avoid This Episode
Hitler Got Close to Unlocking Everything
Perhaps It Should Be Called a First-Person Walker
The Pan Pacific Region Is Not a Pizza
Anyone Who's Played Mass Effect Should Know What the M Stands For
And You'll Be Leaving With the Home Version of Our Game -- Oh -- You're Already Home
Here's a Collector's Item You'll Want to Throw Away
The gals took the weekend off and left Evermore to his own devices [meaning Adobe SoundBooth and Final Cut Pro] to Frankenstein together another one of his infamous ESH clip shows!
There is music, there are interviews from some of our E3 booth stops, and maybe even a nugget or two of fun. From Warner Bros. Batman: Arkham Asylum to my Beatles: RockBandinterview with Creative Director Josh Randall. from Harmonix and more. [Can you say Heavy Rain walkthrough? What about Ratchet and Clank: walkthrough.]
We tried. While we do our best to keep it on the PG, Pandalicious starts a rant on achievement whoring which turns into an achievement glutton VS achievement whore definition debate that ends up running into a tangent of it's own. When we get back on schedule she talks about her new found love of completing games including the Ubisoft title Assassins' Creed and what we are looking forward to in the next installment of the game. Then Ninjasistah comes back with some bits about industry mergers and acquisitions with the announcement of the Tecmo Koei merger on the heals of the ZeniMax Media id Software.
The terrible trio -- Ninjasistah, Pandalicious and Xenocore join forces this week to talk about movies good and bad in this week's new podcast.
And while they all think the new Ghostbusters game is going to be great, there's also discussions about not-so-good game-to-film transfers, such as Super Mario Bros., and plumb rotten anime-to-film turkey such as Speed Racer.
Want to know how fun this episode is? Get a load of the rejected titles:
-- That's the Sound of the Men Working on the Chain Bang
-- Witless for the Prosecution
-- That Gives a Whole New Meaning to Judicial Discovery
-- People from Teas Whould Argue With Your Definition of "Talking Nahmul"
-- Simply Beating a Dead Horse Is Not the Manufacturing Process to Create Glue

Right before we head off to LA we cooked up a fresh new podcast episode for you to enjoy while we sleep on planes.
In this episode of the podcast hosts NinJaSistah and Pandalicious talk about what they hope to see, learn, and play at E3 this year as well as deal a bit gossip out for your enjoyment. From the confirmed PSP GO to discussing some of the many ways Harmonix/MTV Games will be storing all the money they are stand to make with The Beatles: RockBand we leave no gaming cranny uncovered.
With Pandalicious on assignment at Anime Boston and Ninjasistah off on some kind of ninja mission Evermore is left to his own devices which only means one thing: CLIP SHOW!
This one doesn't disappoint. The cutting room floor is part of our secret stash. It contains a lot of content that we end up cutting out of shows due to running our mouths too long, getting caught saying things we shouldn't, and tangents that just don't make a freaking bit of sense. Evermore has collected a few of his more favorite sound bytes from the cutting room floor content and put it together in a very entertaining episode. Featuring former show co-host MagicMysticGrl, Xenocore from Ultimate Quest and the sistahs' I urge you to kick back and enjoyEpisode 147: The Sistahs From the Cutting Room Floor.
Got a piping hot fresh episode of our humble little podcast for your listening pleasure, hit the jump to learn more.
Xenocore from Ultimate Quest joins us on the mic to talk a bit about anime series that drop some knowledge or substantial amount of reality on the viewer as well as those that don't. [yeah Overman King Gainer, I'm looking at you!]Pandalicious chimes in with her opinions on the Nintendo DSi title Rhythm Heaven and how it can be productive while addictive at the same time, and then there is NinJaSistah.
Riding a crazy wave of dual Mt. Dew regular and Mt. Dew Throwback Ninja is all over the place in the episode [causing a lot to be cut out, by the way] and yet somehow manages to get on topic chatting about Sony's recent fiscal earnings announcement and how it may affect creativity and individuality throughout the industry.
When you take a gander at some of the titles we didn't use for this episode, you understand why you have to listen to it. We passed on things like:
The Many Degrees of Layitude
I Manga Like a MoFo
Longer, Better, Faster, Harder - Normally, Panda Wouldn't Mind That
We've been working on this episode of our podcast for a while now with mom in mind. There is no better way celebrate your mom than devoting an entire episode of your show to her, mentions of her from previous episodes and randomness.
It's time to enjoy another new ESH podcast episode folks, and this one stays fairly well focused which is a bit out of the norm for us.
Pandalicious and NinJaSistah go on and on and on for a bit about the state and future of handheld gaming thanks to Furian09's submitted question as well as the upcoming PS3 title Katamari Forever, Magna Carta 2 on the XBox 360, this weeks new Rock Band DLC, and the anime series Hetalia.
From Pandalicious' tales of the weird and wacky world of Hetalia to NinJaSistah's Mt. Dew fueled awkwardness throughout the hour, this episode of the podcast is a great way to kick off year 3 of the ElectricSistaHood show. So grab your warm and or frosty beverage of choice and enjoy ESH podcast episode 144: It Might Not Be the Best, But It's the Bessssssst
Oh yeah, make sure you stop by the site and check out the new digs!
If raincoat tasting isn't your cup of joe, you might want to try on this week's episode of the ESH podcast instead. It's up to you really, are you a raincoat licker or podcast enthusiast?
If you aren't, Pandalicious and NinJaSistah are plenty enthusiastic in this episode of the ESH podcast for everyone. The gals answer some of your questions, on both the anime and game tip, talk a bit about Lego Rock Band, the DragonBall movie how easy it is ignore superheroes alter egos, and one of the weirdest anime series I have ever heard of before, "Kyoran Kazoku Nikki." Seriously, it's a weird one only Pandalicious can love.
To give you better picture of this episode, take a peek at some of the titles we didn't use for this episode:
Those Fish Aren't Coy, They're Just Chillin'
The Wolverine Movie Mutated Into Something I Don't Want to See
It Depends On Your Definition of Bad
When You Give a Jellyfish a Name, It's More Than a Jellyfish
and to top it off
If You Can't Put Your Finger On It, You're Not Going to Please Anyone
This episode of the podcast starts with a disclaimer and correction of information by Pandalicious with what's up [and more importantly not up] with her and DPL host DerrickH. Once she gets that off her chest, we get on with the business at hand and first up is the plight of The Pirate Bay copyright infringement lawsuit ruling, which starts off with a Pirates Vs. Ninjas debate. [Ninja's win by the way] We then segue into The Beatles: Rockband gushings, the current surge of western influenced or designed RPG's and even some anime with the multi-WTF-moment-creating series Peach Girl.
We only had a few alternate titles for this episode like, "More Douche Than a Daytime Drama," and "Ace Is the Place for Girls With Low Self Esteem." It was ridiculously fun to record, so grab your morning motivation and enjoy ridiculously ESH Podcast Episode 142: The Truth Burns Like Gin (It Does)
It's Monday once again so that means it's time for a new episode of the ESH podcast, and this episode the gals talk both anime and game as well as recap some previous podcast episode stuff.
We start off answering audience questions, recap some left over comments from the G.I. Joe movie, and then dig into the nuts and bolts that make up the anime series Overman King Gainer
From perception issues with being black, female, and down with the technology stuff to how to best take advantage of when the StayPuft Marshmallow Man finally comes to claim his puffy vengeance. Normally at this time I would hit you with the list of titles we didn't use, but what is most important is getting down to the good stuff.
...Gimme dat podcast! Okay, it's not as catchy as this, but I had to grab your attention to remind you that we have a new episode of the ESH podcast ready for you now.
You can yell at me for the song being stuck in your head later.
In this episode of the podcast, we talk about all kinds of crazy stuff from the rampant ravishing of our treasured entertainment pasts to create feature length film like the upcoming Tekken movie and G.I. Joe movie to the classic game title Bubble Bobble which is currently available as Wiiware. Both NinJaSistah and Pandalicious answer some audience questions, including one from Bootleg Pete as well as promote the Gamer Daily News Spring Cleaning event, and then cap off the hour with the manga turned anime series Rideback
We are up to the usual monkey business in this episode, and if you don't believe me here are some of the titles we came up with but chose not to use for this episode:
Reality In Video Games - Isn't That An Oxymoron?
There Will Always Be Wire Hangers
He's More Buffy Than Buff
The Tekken Movie? That's The April Fool's Joke
It's At The Bottom End of The Wayans Scale
G.I. Joe Doesn't Make You Gay
Pandalicious Talks About Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged - And This Isn't A Rerun
It's Monday once again, so that means we have to hit you with a new episode of the ESH podcast doesn't it? Yep, sure does, and we're glad to do so.
In this weeks episode of the podcast NinJaSistah and Pandalicious cover a wide range of topics starting with Pandalicious' need of a new job, to video game titles Batman: Arkham Asylum,God of War 3, as well as the Final Fantasy and Tenchu franchises and the manga Pride of Bagdad. Oh yeah, we talk a bit more about the lack of mature and "seasoned gamer" titles on the Wii platform as well.
Did I mention the tangents we go on? Nope? I should have. One of the tangents might involve a limerick, I'm not sure, but for a better idea of what we end up talking about in this episode, check the titles we came up with but didn't use for this episode:
Help Wanted? Have We Got a Panda For You
There Once were Some Ladies From ESH...
Did You Say Talking?
Wii Need Some Excitement, Nintendo
The Monkey Boy In Pandalicious Was Suddenly Unleashed
And Certainly Not Batman: The Bold and The Beautiful
When Revers-Puberty Occurs, This Vehicle Will Be Unmanned
It's Like The Lion King With Guns
Her Hot Pants Have a Bow In The Back - For Modesty
So, MilkChan of Ultimate Quest fame was supposed to be on the show, but yet again the sistah's got stood up. We didn't take it personally though, instead we used the extra time to be random and rant and rave about games, gadgets and whatnot. We start with a couple of audience questions about the Wii and titles to look forward to on the XB360 and then we get into the nitty-gritty down and dirty.
NinJaSistah talks about her first impressions ofResident Evil 5 and does a compare/contrast type thing with the Tomb Raider: Underworld title on the XB360 versus the PS3 version. Pandalicious learns the meaning of the acronym FML as well as the existence of the FML Blog, let's people know that she shouldn't be trusted with other people's children, and then goes crazy random for a bit.
It's another one of those podcasts that starts off with an agenda, but it down the weird and random path to goofy glory. Need a mental picture? Well, here are the titles that we came up with to name the episode:
What the "L" Is FML?
People Don't Trust Me With Their Children
Bad Worm!
Guns In Her Shoes? That's Accessorizing
I Want World Peace, But It Would Make For A Lousy Video Game
When Bigger Isn't Better
Capcom, We Have A Problem
There's Nowhere Like Home - That's Not Necessarily a Good Thing
It's yet another day day ending in "y" so why not give you a new episode of the ESH podcast? Yeah, there is no reason not to, so here you go.
Went to a podcast and a fight broke out. I will be nice and call it a strong disagreement between two strong women and turns into Pandalicious needing to know her role...which is bring you guys some interesting perspectives on things like the XBLive game Peggle and micro-transactions while NinJaSistah drops the knowledge on ya about a bunch of stuff. From some Lego games in the works, to BioShock 2 known' and unknown facts, and the new Utah bill that so far away from what we really need when it comes to violent or sexually over-toned themes, that it won't go anywhere.
To give you an idea of what you are in for, here are some of the titles that we didn't use for this podcast:
That's Quite An Empire State Building You Got There
Wo Watches The Watchmen? Not Very Many, Apparently
Indiana Jones and the Cold sore of a Movie
Scrambled Eggs Is Murder
For That Matter, You're Always Getting Thrown Into Jail In Monopoly
There's No Way You Can Get Pregnant From Peggle
I was Listening to the Sistahs, Then Suddenly Cheech & Chong Appeared
Monday brings with it yet another new episode of the ESH podcast, and in this episode we explore the game that got us started on the podcast as well as a few that keep us gaming.
If you haven't been with us from the beginning of our podcast life, then you may not know that the first game we ever talked about in internet audio form was the Squeenix title Kingdom Hearts 2. Shame on you. Ok, we can't stay mad at you, stop pouting. I am both proud and sad to say that it has taken an audience member question 135 episodes later for us to bring it back up again as main topic in the show...so bravo Ariel for getting us going for a bit on this show. We also talk about the upcoming Harmonix/MTV Games release The Beatles: Rock Band and what it could mean for family game-time and Panda brings the suckitude that Enchanted Armsto the forefront.
It's a classic random ESH podcast episode, and the proof is in the pudding... hear are some of the titles that we didn't use for the show
It Took 135 Episodes, But We Finally Talk About Kingdom Hearts Again
In this episode of the podcast the gals weigh in on the XBox Live profile banning issue that has been in the news lately as well share some quick impressions of the upcoming game Eat Lead.
It's not all serious on this episode, but we do end up on the soapbox for a bit. Need a better idea of what the episode is like? Check out a couple of the titles we passed on to name this episode:
No boring Monday's here, today we release one of our more totally NOT SAFE FOR WORK new episodes of the ESH podcast.
I can't state this clearly enough, this podcast episode is NOT SAFE FOR WORK.
Not only is there the requisite amount of swearing in this podcast episode, but Pandalicious and I spend a good chunk of time in the episode talking about a specific piece of the male anatomy. Yes, this episode focus on "that" thing you are thinking of and how it has recently made prolific appearance in gaming today. From digital pictures sent through the pipes of XBLive and PSN to the Stubbs character in the new Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost & The Damned" DLC, DP has been popping up all over the place and needs to stop. We also chat a bit about the new Street Fighter IV game from Capcom and Panda shares some of her Left 4 Dead versus mode opinions.
If you still aren't sure what we are talking about, here are some of the suggested episode titles we didn't use:
She Surely Misspoke When She Said Bean-gag
We Need To Stamp Out D.P. In Our Time
If I No Ask, You No Flash
If You Gotta Show It To Me, Please Shave First
Was It Flopping Around Like a Dead Fish?
and finally,
I Don't Care If YOu Talk To Me, But You're Going To Listen To Me
Oh boy, oh boy! It was bound to happen ladies and gents, welcome to the first podcast clip show of 2009! If you have never experienced an ESH clip show, this is a fun one to cut your teeth on.
Evermore has been laboriously compiling sound bites from various podcast episodes to piece together one of the most Shazamable podcast episodes that we have put out in a long time. Before I give you a partial download of what you are about to hear I do have to get this one thing off my chest, "Pandalicious is responsible for both Elvis references featured in this episode!" There I said it, and I feel much better.
Here is a list of some of the music you will hear referenced in this podcast:
Cake
Chef (Isaac Hayes)
Crash Test Dummies
Culture Club
Digital Underground
E.U.
Elvis (twice!)
Erykah Badu
Frankie Goes to Hollywood
Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam
Macy Gray
Steam
Supertramp
and for the first time ever on an episode of the ESH podcast
It's not Funday without a new episode of the ESH podcast, and today is most definitely Funday. "The time has come," the NinJa says, to talk of many things...
Of video games and anime, of guest hosts and interviewees...and while your cop of coffee is boiling hot, and your bandwidth is full and free, kaloo kalay come spend the day, listening to the new podcast of the ESH.
This is one of our more fun episodes as we are joined by game creator and co-host of the Dead Pixel Live Show on AllGames.com Derrick H. to talk about his new Xbox Live Community game Revenge of the Ball, and his show DPL while Panda brings a touch of FPS to the playground with her loves and loathes of Left 4 Dead, the anime series Monster, and NinJa rounds out the hour talking about the Ghostbusters game and some thoughts about the changes coming to the Tekken franchise with the pending release of the new title. Oh yeah, Playstation Home makes it into the conversation, as does Las Vegas and weird anime plot mechanism themes.
It's a doozy of an episode, and if you need further proof, check out the titles we didn't use for the episode
Some of Us Have Jobs - We Pay Bills - And We Don't Live With Our Moms
Sometimes You Just Wanna Play Duck Hunt
It's Called "You Will Die" But You Didn't Hear That
Derrick's Hour In Vegas Lasted Three Days
Viva Las ESHMom
If You Like Being Vomited On, This Is The Game For You
When Doctors Become Assassins
The Dog Got Randy - And That's Not Even the Fantasy Episode
It's Like An Ultra Lounge Without the "Ultra" Part
An audio podcast just doesn't do justice to a couple of things the Sistahs bring up in their latest podcast. That's why you've got to check out a couple of things in this post.
First, the Sistahs get a gander at the new logos for various Pepsi products, and they don't like what they see. Neither will you:
Doesn't bring a smile to my face, but this next thing does. The voiceover for the You Rock guitar is a little cheesy, but that doesn't take away from the utility of this new peripheral:
As usual, we have to reject more titles than we use. Like these:
If You're Pepsi and You Know It, Show Your Teeth
Episode 6 Is All In Your Head
If You Think This Is Explicit, You Should Try ESH After Dark
Pregnancy and Porn -- Just Another Day In Pandaville
Platypussy -- It's Spore, Not the Next James Bond Film
A Panic Room With a View
Law & Order: Tsukihime (Dunk Dunk)
We Are All On the Internet, and We're Playing With Each Other
Pandalicious kicks things off with observations on the Anime "The Girl Who Lept Through Time." She offers it as an example of how well Eastern literature is treated in animated form, compared to the treatment of Western literature in animation.
Ninjasistah follows up with a discussion on the Duck Dodgers animation series and how it relates to other Warner and Disney animation of the same era. Along the way Pandalicious delivers a scare about her impending pregnancy.
The titles we turned down for this episode? Here they are:
The Sistahood is about to get some new neighbors...
You might have read about it on their Facebook, but it's finally hitting your desktop! The Boston Bastard Brigade (or B3) is coming for you, so you better prepare! Join me, along with new crew members Blueonic, Dark Heart, Bam Bam, Pink Taco, and Spoony Sleuth as we talk gaming, anime, music, film, TV, sports, and what's pissing us off in our "Oh, For Fuck's Sake!" section.
As of this writing there have been two episodes recorded (one in October, one in November), plus the interview I did with Japanese punk band TsuShiMaMiRe back in September. More will be coming each week (or every other week depending on our schedules), so look out for more info as the days go by.
B3: Coming this December...
This is King Baby Duck: "Ain't born to lose, baby, I'm born to win! I'm so Goddamn slick, baby, it's a sin!"
Sure, it's another clip show, but if you haven't been listening to the podcasts from All Games, this will all be new to you. Pandalicious spent the summer crashing other podcasts, including Super Happy Funtime Show, Ultimate Quest and Dead Pixel Live, leaving podcast hosts in her wake.
And whether she's ultra-serious, as she is on the Ultimate Quest podcast, or her usual profane self, as she is on Dead Pixel Live, we think you'll be highly entertained by it all.
May the Monday morning new podcast episode of victory be with you... and also with you, but not that guy behind you. He's kinda creeping me out.
In this episode the sistahs talk about the driving forces behind anime franchises with a focus on the Gundam series, specifically Mobile Suit Gundam 00. We also talk a bit about the eastern animation style influence moving west and the New Xbox Experince interface. [NXE in the heezy fo sheezy]
Want an idea of how this episode turned out? Check out the titles we didn't use:
It's a Nerds, Nerds, Nerds, Nerds World
We Don't Know How Green the Gundams Are, But Their Suits Are Shiny
Pick One: The Thermos or the Hello Kitty Vibrator
No One Makes Pases at Ninjas With Glasses
The New Xbox Avatars Look Like They Come From Stepford
Diversity Mech Misers: Now With More Germans!
How Green Was Your Mecha?
and finally
Celestial Beings, Not To Be Confused With Celestial Teas
Monday morning creeps around again, so the sistah's got to gabbing again to create a new episode of the ESH podcast for you. And this one is another single topic-er.
We couldn't think of a better way to herald the return of NinJaSistah to the East Coast the girls get together to chit-chat about Fable 2. Actually, first they talk about Fable, then Fable 2, open environment games, and action RPG's, and a bunch of stuffs surrounding the Lionhead Studios titles.
I'll warn you now, there are a bunch of spoilers to go around in this episode if you haven't finished either title, so you may want to download this episode and wait until you finish your game before you listen to this one. Don't say I didn't warn you. Seriously, look at the titles that we didn't use for the episode:
You Can Kick Chickens and It Doesn't Affect Your Purity
He Shoots Your Sister, Then He Shoots Your Dog...Bastard
Fable 2 Teaches the Horror of Eating Meat
I Want My Dog Back, I Really Don't Care About My Sister
Monday brings along with it a new episode of the ESH podcast, and since NinJa had an at bat on an episode all her own, we had to give Panda equal time on this network.
Ok, so we aren't a network yet, but we are growing in that general direction so stop raining on our parade already. Pandlicious spends a little time in this episode sharing her top 5 picks for best songs featured in Rock Band 2 by MTV Games/EA/Harmonix. By now you should have a firm grasp on how much the sistah's love the Rock Band but if you don't, just make a run through of our past posts and podcast for the last two months. You will lose count of the amount of times we talk about this game, so one more won't hurt.
While I won't give away the list [what will make you listen to the episode if I type it all up here, eh?] I will tell you that it features some great all around songs folks... including stuff by Jonathan Coulton.
Ninjasistah expresses her delight about the anime series Solty Rei. Any anime that introduces a female heroine by letting her fall from the sky naked can't be all bad.
Pandalicious expresses unconditional love toward the narrator of the Nostalgia Critic video cast and his expert choices of favorite cartoon themes of the 1980s and '90s. Ninjasistah might have a few quibbles, but they both thoroughly enjoy his selections.
Here are the titles that were rejected for this week's episode:
The Sistahs Profess Their Love for Each Other While Calling Each Other a Punk
Things Look Dark -- Must Be Night
Suddenly a Naked Chick Fell Out of the Sky
Don't Ask Panda About Her Buffer Underrun
Walt Disney Owned My Childhood
Spoiler Alert: We Give Away the Ending to Old Yeller
It's not a full crew episode, nor is it a top 5, this episode is all NinJaSistah, and it's all rant.
I've pulled together all my thoughts about the last few video game trade show events that I've gone to and created nearly an hour of the good, the bad, the ugly, and hopefully the fixes that are needed to truly make tradeshows accessible, fun, and educational for all.
To give you an idea of the paths this episode goes down, here are some of the titles I didn't pick for it:
The E3 Gods Must Be Crazy
CES: Where The Elite Meet To Deceit
Fair and Balanced: It's Not Just A Slogan... It's A Phrase
If you're a long-time listener of the ESH podcasts, you'll find this one has a completely different feel. That's because this episode was recorded absolutely live at the E For All show this past weekend.
Ninjasistah appeared live at the show, along with guests Loserly from Dead Pixel Live, April Carlson and Mandie Bettencourt from Girls Got Game, who discuss the true integration of girls and gaming sites.
Pandalicious represents, as usual, by talking about her fear of upcoming live-action movies made of her favorite anime stories. And MagicMysticGrl shows up after a long absence to talk about everything .hack.
Here are the headlines that were rejected for this one:
Working Part-Time, 43 Hours a Week
In Anime, Girls Will Be Girls, and So Will Boys
When Microphone Positioning Becomes Erotic
Panda Has a Filter, She Just Has to Remember to Put It On
High School Musical? These Guys Are Old Enough to Take the GED
This week, I promise not to bring up Pandalicious' little escapade in recorded audio incident on the new episode of the podcast.
Ooops, I already did. My bad Panda, my bad.
On the podcast this week, NinJaSistah and Pandalicious attempt to go all anime on your ass. From Panda's Code E/Mission E two'fer to NinJa sharing some of her first impressions of Mushi-Shi and Michico E Hatchin and Personal 4.
The girls talk a bit about a bunch of things in this episode. No love toilet talk, but they do go on a few tangents. Check out some of the titles that came up, but weren't chosen as the winner:
Anime or May Not
I Failed the Flying Test in High School
Pandalicious Portrays Herself in "A Night in Panda"
Finally -- Some Anime Characters That Aren't the Other White Meat
The Kids Have Been Around the Block a Few Times Now
It's a Fresh of Breath Air
You Could Make a Live Action Version of Mononoke... BUT DON'T
Leave the Actors Where They Are, Just Move the Scenery
I Never Made It Past the Part where They Brought In the Munchkin Asian Chick
The start of the week brings another new episode of the ESH podcast, and this week we learn that caffeine and sugar do not sit too awful well with the sistahs.
This is especially true if you add prescription drugs to the mix. poor Pandalicious and her messed up foot. But neither the pain nor giddiness of the two keeps them from chatting about Spore:Creatures on the DS Lite, RockBand 2 co-operative play on da interwebs, and how the lack of XBox Live can drive lonely ninjas nutzoid.
If you want to get the gist of what the episode is about, check out the titles we didn't use for this one:
Bomb Ash Is Not Bomb Ass
There's Always a "Why?" At the End of Sex
I Am What I Bee
Double-Stuf Oreos -- That's the Team I Bat For
The Legend of the Three-Tiered Easy Bake Cake
The Love Toilet: Our Worst Tangent Ever
EA Makes Me Want to Use Three Condoms
Panda's Wielding the Stick of Righeousness
A Cramp Ruined My White Wedding
Mentos: The Memory Taker
and
I Failed Chemistry, But I Remember Ionic and Covalent Bonds
It's already "that time" of the week again...time for the ESH crew to drop a new episode of the podcast on you to help kick your week off right!
NinJaSistah and Pandalicious once again hold the hour down talking about games and generally entertaining topics ranging from rhythm games in general to the final on disc track listings of Activision'sGuitar Hero: World Tour, Harmonix's Rockband 2, and Konami'sRock Revolution. Somehow David Bowie makes it into the conversation again as well as incest which is mostly Panda's fault for bringing Viva Pinata: Trouble In Paradise to the table.
We didn't have a long list of titles to choose from this week, but if you want an idea of how the show stacks up to the others, one title on the list was "no pants, no WoW, no problem." That's all I got for you folks, so grab your morning or evening drink and enjoy podcast episode 113: Rhythm Game's Gonna Get Cha!
So, the Penny Arcade Expo is now over and I'm bushed, but it is Monday so I had to hit you guys with a special episode of the ESH podcast created by yours truly.
I got to spend a bunch of time on the show floor all over the place and see some great stuff over the past three days and collected all my thoughts onto this nice little show. From the XBox experience to RockBand 2, I have seen so much crap that it's all running together, but the most important piece of the show was that I was able to see and touch all the things you wish you could have if you were able to be in Seattle yourself.
I talked to MajorNelson and N'Gai for you. They say hi.
In this episode of the podcast the girls talk about the anime series "SpeedGrapher," mis-steps and corrections that SCEA can make with the PS3 to recapture the bulk of the gamer market, things that make Panda want to punch babies in the face, EA games, PAX, PAX preparations, the fact that Pandalicious is not going to PAX but NinJa is, "Watchmen" the movie versus the graphic novel, and more. Don't believe me, check out the titles we didn't use for the show.

Monday is here again, and so is a new episode of the ESH podcast. The girl team is complete on this one so expect randomness galore this hour and change.
The episode kicks off with Pandalicious and MagicMystic discussing how they came to love and specialize on the topics they, well, are experts on here at camp ESH. [In case you are new to the game, Panda shows anime some love while Magic takes us down the dark and [every once and a while] psychotic path of manga. While the girls chat about their passions and influences toward them, Ninja tries to keep up by hanging back in the corner.
When the dust settles, NinJaSistah jumps into the conversation to talk about the resurgence of the Science Fiction genre in mainstream entertainment and the pros and cons of it's new found popularity. It's another weird and wacky episode guys, check out the titles we didn't use for this one:
Off-Topic's the Best Place to Be
if I Had Known, I Would Have Worn Pants @ M4M Night
if It's Good For Your Heart, It's Crap

It's the story about a MagicMystik who wasn't listening, a Ninja making profane T-shirts for children and a Panda who just couldn't wait. You might think of it as the latest episode of the ElectricSistaHood podcast, but we prefer to think of it as just another slice of life.
Magic starts it out by talking about the manga "Pet Shop of Horrors" and Ninja and Panda finish it up by giving their love to the new Soul Caliber IV. In between all that, they present another hour of hilarity for all of you.
Just get a load of the titles that were turned down for this episode:

If you ever sit and ponder on the idea of people of a young-ish age drinking, let this new episode of the ESH podcast be the proof you need to "just say nay!"
This week, MagicMystic returns and brings with her balance to the force while Panda and Ninja enjoy some adult juice before, during, and probably after the episode.
This episode starts with Ninja talking about the new XBLive Arcade title Go! Go! Break Steady that she keep calling "Go! Go! Beat Street" reports on some of the feelings around the industry about E3, and the hopefully triumphant return of the fighting genre on the back of Soul Calibur IV. Magic chimes in with her new found XBox-y goodness and general discovery of "the new" as she shares first impressions of her new XBox 360 Elite as well as latent desires for an XBLive account, and then Panda brings up the rear and talks about the anime and manga series, Full Metal Panic. The gals are back to normal and completely off topic as usual.
Here are some of the random things said during the show that could have been used as titles, but weren't:
Wallmart, Baby Come Back!
The Big "E" Is Big
MagicMystic Is Back, And Out Of The Closet
Jobless Wonder To The Rescue-ish
It's Not The Size of Your GamerScore, But How You Use It
The Ninja has fallen in love with the free Xbox 360 demo of Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution, even though it stands for all the things she normally hates in a videogame. But, as a fan of the Parker Brothers' board game Risk, Ninja is willing to overlook the game's natural shortcomings.
For Pandalicious, a fan of turn-based, role playing games, Lost Odyssey is right up her alley, even though she's barely scratched the surface of the four-disc set. As you might expect, the Sistahs have plenty of fun with the game's protagonist, a 1,000-year-old man named Kaim.
Along the way, the Sistahs talk about online guides and the unexpected malady that has befallen MagicMysticGrl, who doesn't appear in this week's podcast.
And, about the title for the episode? Well, we might have left a word off the end. You'll have to listen to the thing to hear the whole title.
Here are the titles we rejected:
Just Say No to Drano
The Finger of the Internet is Pointing at You
Did You Just Get Hit With a Ridiculous Stick?
RPG Battle: Fun vs. Emo
Qu'est-ce que c'est Ninja Gaiden?
Every Guy Says His Unit is Magic, But Kaim's Really Is
Hot Kaim Action Inside -- Live!
Death is Coming for Panda, and She's Relieved
Dead and Gone to a Place He Can't Go, Kaim Must Be Emo
Monday brings with it yet another episode of the ESH podcast, and in this one the sistahs' steal the limelight and hold it hostage for about an hour.
NinJaSistah takes the mic first this go 'round to speak on a topic near and dear to her heart, Ninja Gaiden II. From new visuals, lamest ninja name ever, to best and worst aspects of initial gameplay NinJa brings the sexy black. I mean back.
Then Pandalicious talks about her newly addicted Wii Fit experience. The yoga that is easy, what the game is and is not, and how it affects her daily life. MagicMystic chimes in a time or too before having to head out early. All in all, it's one of our normal, wacky shows. Here are some of the episode titles we rejected:
It Helps If You're Nimble and Omnicient
From The Look Of The Ninja Gaiden Girls You'd Think Goodyear Was The Sponsor
Lamest Name For A NinJa: Joe
AI Can Be A Sneaky Bastard
No, The Dog Didn't Eat Panda's Homework
And Then She Mentioned Richard Simmons' Weiner
If Your Kid Turns Into A Pretzel, Turn The Wii Fit Off Now!
In this episode of the podcast the girls talk a bit about nearly every entertainment medium. We gots a bit of manga, a bit of anime, some feature film stuff all topped off with video game shizzole.
Pandalicious kicks off the show talking about the anime series Hell Girl based off of the manga of the same name. She and Magic go back and forth a bit exploring what works and what doesn't in the series. MagicMystic then shares her impressions of the new Hulk movie and NinJaSistah closes out the show talking about E3.
To give you an idea of the kind of show we had, here are the titles we rejected:
NinJa Can't Fly, But She Can Jump to Conclusions
No..Un..com..piled Da-ta EVER!!!

LAUNCH The podcast kicked off in 2006 with the first episode being released on May 3rd, and we have been cranking them out ever since. Over 100 total released shows [We have done a bunch of My Top Fives people] ESH has really grown into something unexpected, but ultimately an insane amount of fun to do. In this episode of the podcast we talk about how we got to be two years old.
CHANGE I launched the site in April of 06 as SplendidBlunder.com. Originally, the idea was to have a space on the web to create, post, mix, and remix other people’s GarageBand projects. It was going to be a playground for Panda and I, and while we were having all of our conversations about the setup, we kept wasting time talking about Video games and anime.
GROWTH We realized quickly that we wouldn’t be able to do just the site or the podcast alone, and began recruiting our more than geeky friends to join the family. The first recruit was MagicMystic, then came Evermore, MonkeyDoo, Douceswild, GeekWoman, madameRoslin, theAdmiral, colonelPanic, and most recently KingBabyDuck. We started out small, with only 1000 people on average hitting the site, and now, we do quite a bit better. I figure it has to be the crazy that keeps them coming back, because there is definitely nothing out there like us.
We will be making autographed DVD’s featuring all of the podcast episodes over the last two years available on the ESH site shortly.
It took some juggling of schedules, but the time and date for the recording of the 100th Episode of the ElectricSistaHood podcast has been set for Friday, June 6 at 8 p.m. Eastern time. And we want you to be there.
The Sistahs will be recording live on Skypecast, Skype's public broadcasting service. You can participate absolutely free -- all you need is to go to skype.com, get the free Skype software and set it up prior to the podcast.
By the way, if you haven't used Skype in a while, be sure to get the latest version. Everyone will appreciate that you did.
And you won't just be sitting back in your chairs listening, either. We're trying to get all the ESH regulars and fans there to participate.
There are some limitations, of course. Skype allows only five people the ability to speak at a time -- and three of those slots will be filled by NinjaSistah, Pandalicious and MagicMysticGrl -- which leaves only two slots for guests, so please be patient if you're not immediately involved. We'll make sure everyone gets their chance to participate. Of course, you'll need a set of headphones to listen and a microphone if you want to talk.
For those of you who are mystified by the International Date Line, here is the time for other time zones:
7 p.m. Central time (which includes Wisconsin, Oklahoma and Louisiana)
6 p.m. Mountain time (for those folks in places like Wyoming and New Mexico)
5 p.m. Pacific (not Specific) time (that's Vegas, LA and Silicon Valley)
2 p.m. in Hawaii
9 a.m. Saturday in Tokyo
4 a.m. Saturday in Moscow
1 a.m. Saturday in London
We'll give you a link directly to the Skypecast in the countdown area of the home page once it has begun, so you won't have to hunt around for it on the Skype website.
ESH goes to the movies in this week's podcast and you won't believe how much Magic hates the new Indiana Jones film.
The Sistahs use Magic's bad review as a springboard for their dislike of most of the bad movies based on videogames and how much they wish there were more films like Iron Man and fewer like the last X-Man film.
Here are the titles we rejected for this week's show:
Indiana Jones and the Cake Is a Lie
Fluffy Man Boa? Not Today
Chia Pet Naruto -- Believe It!
FYI: Russia Is a Damn Cold Place
George Lucas Can Still FuX Things Up
They Shoot Russians In Roswell, Don't They?
My Frigidaire Is My Savior
Two Words: Necco Wafers
Don't forget that the live recording of the 100th episode is Friday, June 6. Look for details on the website. But in the meantime, give a listen to Episode 99: Indiana Jones and the Blah-Blah-Blah.
The Sistahs discuss both the unpronounceable and the unspeakable in this week's podcast, and it's a guaranteed hoot and a half.
First up is MagicMystic's telling of an anime called Mnemosyne. While you won't lose your head over this tale, you might lose a hand.
Next, Ninjasistah and Pandalicious discuss their love for the gangsters, ho's and bitches in Grand Theft Auto IV. Sure, the game's violent and profane, but also loveable in its own twisted way.
Along the way, Panda even coins a new word: V'jayhole. You'll have to hear it to believe it.
Anyway, you've seen the title of this week's podcast. Here are the ones the Sistahs rejected:
You've just been Panderized!
We'll Chase Magic Down and Poke Her With a Stick
Kitten Snot Might Make You Laugh -- Might Not
Leaving the Land of Noisy Colors
Cat Girl Chasing Towel Girl? Cool!
Finding Rare Stamps Might Sound Boring, But You Won't Lose a Hand Over It
The Best Anime Ever About a Human Shish-Kebab
Don't Chain My, Uh, Heart
Radio's Dying -- Except On Grand Theft Auto
A Very Special ESH: The Girls Discuss Lap Dances
I Wouldn't Be Surprised to See Myself On World's Stupidest Drunk Drivers
You say you want a revolution, well, you know... we aren't here to change the world. Monday still equals new podcast episode day, and I don't see that changing anytime too soon.
In this episode of the podcast, the girls cover the popular creative peoples website, "Deviant Art" as well as the anime series "Vampire Knight" and examine the possible effect GTA IV may have on the national release of the "Iron Man" film. We are chock full of something on this episode people, and I think it just may possibly be caffeine. Don't quote me on that one though, just check out the titles we didn't use for this episode and draw your own conclusions:
OC BC Does Not Equal AC/DC

[Yeah, try to get that image out of your head.] But don't think we don't have some randomness for you. When the Panda's away, the Ninja will play. Mostly, she'll play Guitar Hero and Rock Band. While Pandalicious tastes the goodness of Anime Boston, NinjaSistah decided to delve into her collection of downloadable content for Guitar Hero III and Rock Band. And she pulled out her Top 5 faves for this week's podcast.
Exactly which ones did she pull out of there? Well, you're going to have to actually listen to the thing in order to find out. I'm not telling you here. But let me just say that I think you're going to be pleased with her selections.
In the meantime, Panda's been blogging about her Anime Boston experience, and she'll be back next week to reveal all the details. So enjoy this week's special podcast topic from NinjaSistah: My Top 5 Guitar Hero/Rock Band Downloads.
I have love for the ESH fans. Lots of love in fact. So as I started going through the fan mail and came across a few people asking for the same thing, what kinda of ninja person would I bear no heed to their call.
So, for those of you in need of a way to subscribe to the ESH goodness on your Zune, now you can. Yes, you read that correctly, ESH Podcast subscriby goodness is now available. clicking on that image over there will give you the link you need to subscribe to the podcast on yer Zune.
With Anime Boston coming up this weekend, the Sistahs are excited as they can be. And that excitement shows in this week's episode of the podcast.
In addition to a preview of Anime Boston, the Sistahs discuss all facets of gaming. NinjaSistah talks about EA trying to take over Take Two, makers of the Grand Theft Auto series. And Pandalicious goes on and on about dating sim games -- particularly focusing on the question, "why aren't girls the protagonist in these games?"
In any case, it's well worth your hour and seven minutes to listen in. And in case you were wondering, here are the titles they rejected for this week's episode:

Pandalicious shares some musings about viral video treasure trove YouTube, FUNimation channel getting itself out of the rerun doldrums, and self buttering popcorn. [you'll just have to listen to find out more about that one] Then NinJaSistah jumps in to add the sprinklings of gaming news including some first impressions on Legendary, and MagicMystic rounds out the show with another review of an edgy manga title. This title is hard to describe so I'll just give you the name...Deadman Wonderland.

Podcasts are becoming much more popular with every passing day. I listen to tons of them throughout the week. They’ve become the main source for much of my gaming, anime, and tech info. I’d like to know which podcasts you guys can’t get through the week without.
I first discovered podcast almost two years ago and I’ve been hooked ever since. I can’t start my day if I don’t have all of my podcast updated and ready to put on my iPhone. My playlist consisted of only about five shows in the beginning, but now I’m up to almost fifty shows. There’s a variety of shows that I listen to. They consist of music podcasts, video games, anime, technology, etc. The list goes on and on. The funny part is, with all the shows that I have on queue, I’m still looking for more. That’s where you guys come in.
I’d like to know what podcasts you guys are listening to and watching. List your top 10 or 5 if you don’t have that many. Maybe there’s an awesome podcast that I should be checking out. Hook me up guys. Here’s mine:
1. Achievement Junkie 2. Diggnation 3. Distorted View 4. Electric Sista Hood 5. GeekBrief.TV 6. The Instance: World of Warcraft Podcast 7. Massively Online Gamer 8. Radio 538: Tiesto’s Club Life 9. Tekzilla 10. Totally Rad Show
That’s ONLY a few on my list. What are you guys bumpin’ on your mp3 player?
We're a little late on the draw this week, but it's for a good reason. After a few months of being under the weather, both NinjaSistah and Pandalicious need a little extra time off, so we're extending the time between podcasts just a tiny bit. Thus, you're getting the new program on a Wednesday (instead of the previous Monday), and the next one will be out a week from Monday (President's Day). So give this episode a listen.
In this episode, the Sistahs are together once again, as Panda makes the long trip down to ESHington for Ninja's birthday. And all that noise in the background? It's ESH Mom making the bed, of course!
The topics for this week's show: OMG Headsets and Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
We know how much you love reading the rejected titles and listening to the podcast to see how we came up with them. Here they are:
In this episode, the gals get together to talk about, well, a little bit of everything. From Pandalicious sharing some of her thoughts on the anime Paradise Kiss, then on to MagicMystic exposing us to the Persona: Trinity Soul anime, and then NinJaSistah talking about sex in video games, Devil May Cry 4 and the passing of actor Heath Ledger.
It is a rollercoaster ride of an episode this week; lots of highs and lows, lots of tangents. If you don't believe me, just take a look at the titles we rejected:
It's What ESH Mom Wants Everyone To Know
Anime Dude Looks Like A Lady
There's Angst Everywhere
The Writers Laughed In My Face-They Can Stay On Strike
Franz Ferdinand? Didn't He Pay For Columbus' Boat Trip?
Plan B's Not That Shabby
The Jeopardy Answer: You Can Unscrew A Light bulb
It's Never Good To Shoot Yourself In the Head
There's No Racism In Reverse World, Everybody's Pink
That Crack/Mother's Back Thing Just Ain't True
Personas Can Leap Tall Buildings In A Single Bound
In this new episode of the ESH podcast MagicMystic returns to the show [finally] to add a little manwa up in this piece with Banya: The Explosive Delivery Man. Pandalicious pokes her nose into the show and shares her experiences with Scene It: Lights, Camera, Action on the XB360, and NinJaSistah rounds out the hour with the affect Mass Effect has had on her while she's been playing it.
To get an idea of what's going on in this episode, here are the titles we didn't use:
Monday again people, so you know we have to bring you a new episode of the ESH podcast. Like the many, many episodes that have come before it this one is chock full of goody goodness.
In this weeks episode of the podcast Pandalicious shares her take on the TokyoPop manga King of Thorn while NinJaSistah shares some of the HDTV tech that made an impression on her at this years' CES tradeshow. From the 1.5 inch thick Hitachi TV to Sony's pricey OLED and back round to realistic manga characters, we cover a bit of it all this week.
If you need a better idea of what we cover in this episode, here is the list of the rejected episode titles:
Just before NinjaSistah flew out to Las Vegas for the annual Consumer Electronic Show this weekend, she and Pandalicious recorded a new podcast.
Pandalicious talks about a creepy new anime called "Ghost Hound." It doesn't contain ghosts (at least, not Casper-style ghosts) and it doesn't have any hounds, either, but Panda insists it's worth watching.
NinjaSistah discusses several topics, including last week's Xbox Live outage, some free Rock Band tracks (but Playstation players are out of luck), God of War 3 and the HD movie format wars.
And, as usual, there are plenty of rejected titles for this episode:
Three Guys, a Girl and Their Suicidal Thoughts
Anime's Psychic Friends Network
Alien Butt Babies Make You Make an Ass of Yourself
It's that time of the week again, it's new podcast time... and believe me, it's a good one.
In this week's episode Pandalicious talks about the anime series Lucky Star and mowei anime in general while NinJaSistah shares her top disappointing games of 2007 and her highest hopes for 2008. It's a fun filled hour once again in the land of ESH and if you don't believe me, here's the titles we didn't use for this episode:
Two Words: Santa NinJa
Mowei! Mowei! Mowei! How Do You Like It? How Do You Like It?
In this weeks episode, Pandalicious make her return to the show to talk about the hermit syndrome becoming ever more popular in mainstream anime while NinJaSistah puts her focus on Soul Calibur: Legends on the Wii and new Ninja Gaiden II and Devil May Cry 4 trailers.
Oh yeah, the girls share some RockBand tips as well. For a better idea how the show runs over the hour, here are the rejected episode titles:
Anime Hermits Don't Cause Anal Leakage
Gingerbread Parties Rock
Rape is Not the Type of Thing We Should Be Pushing This Season
Looking For Hair Pie in Devil May Cry
Everyone's Losing Their Drawers These Days
and
Dante's Getting Fitted for His Tuxedo
The sistah's are back, and both are on XBlive now! Kick back and enjoy episode #80: Worst Tangent Ever
I'm sure you've noticed by now that we haven't put up a new episode of the podcast. And we won't be putting one up this week, and for good reason.
As you may or may not know, Pandalicious took very ill suddenly and quite unexpectedly. For a while there it was a very precarious situation, but I'm happy to report that she has been released from the hospital into the pampering care of our mother. In recent weeks you may have also noticed MagicMystic missing from the podcast on a regular basis as well. Magic has been dealing with some life issues [you know, accepting the need for a day job, and all that crap] and has been unable to make our recording sessions on a regular basis. Hey, life comes at you fast and sometimes you can't duck that mofo. So with both of the girls down this week, not to do a podcast. I could have recorded a top 5 by myself [I had the topic together and everything] but I felt like, in these circumstances not doing one without the girls would just be wrong.
An ESH podcast so close to the holidays just isn't as fun without the sistahs.
So call me lame, call me old fashioned, hell, you can call me lazy... but one thing I am is missing my girls
We will be back to normal-ish next week on the podcast tip, until then... enjoy the jewels and reviews coming at you this week!
It's Monday people, so it's time once again for a new episode of the ESH podcast. This week the sistah drop on you N00b Sauce, That's On Aisle 42.
In this week's episode the sistah's talk about the anime series Colorful, the Sci-Fi channels take on the Wizard of OZ mini-series Tin Man, and the newly released Geometry Wars: Galaxies from Vivendi Games. Yes, this episode [like all others] is chock full of tangents, rants, raves, asides, and all the other stuff we cram into an hour. If you need more convincing, here are the titles we didn't use to describe this week's episode:
How do I compete With Koktitz
We Need More Estrogen In This Biznatch
ESH To CES: We Knock Things Up!
It's So Wrong, It's Badong

Mila Jovovich's Next Blockbuster: BrainAge: The Movie
Anime takes center stage in this week's ElectricSistaHood podcast as Pandalicious discusses Pumpkin Scissors and NinjaSistah talks about Venus Vs. Virus.
What Pandalicious doesn't mention about Pumpkin Scissors is that you can get some exclusive wallpapers right here on the ESH website. Go take a look for yourself.
In addition, NinjaSistah talks about the Tinman mini-series on SciFi Network, which reimagines L. Frank Baum's "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz." She also discusses the Bladestorm game and the upcoming CES show in Las Vegas. Finally, Pandalicious goes on a little tirade about a certain Kid Nation participant.
Here are the titles that we tossed out:
Don't Drink and Podcast
Partying Pandas Have a Lot In Common With Tara Reid
Blondes Have More Nobility
