          Pandalicious' Playlist [Favorite Anime Openers]

And Panda said onto thee, "Let there be Videos!"
          And there were
          And they were Totally PAWSOME!

Good afternoon lovers of the sisters of ESH. I've finally decided to stop being a lazy anime that I thought was a bear but [to my surprise] is actually related to the racoon family! I digress so let me continue. I've decided that now it's time for my to share video's of my favorite Anime Openings. Sometimes when it comes down to the point where I may or may not give a favorable rating, I will turn to the music selection. Is this a hit or miss way to do it? You be the judge!

The first one I have to put up for viewingis from the series I nicknamed the "Happy Slasher" Why? do you ask...well... here is the simple equation for that. Take MOE girls+ sadistic torture+ moments of utter paranoia and insanity divide that by the amount of times I had to pause the DVD and walk away x the nights that I couldn't sleep because I feared for my life!

The series is called "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni" or in English "When They Cry" It is sung by Eiko Shimamiya. Now the first video I'm going to show is the opening for the anime, however the second video is Eiko's actual music video... Enjoy!

Many people that I hold conversations with about this serious are surprised by how much I thought the opening was beautiful. I thought it was very upbeat...something may be wrong with me. XD

Now look at the actual video...

          Yeah... I know...

The second favorite opener for me comes from an anime called Paradise Kiss. Now I know you guys know I'm a person of the female variety, but what you may not know is I'm a clothes horse [That's right I admit it!] So this opening kinda makes me want to walk down a runway which is why I like it so much... The song is called "Lonely In Gorgeous" and it sung by Tomoko Kawase who [if you guys heed the words of KBD]is also known as Tommy February6

Now for a little twist...Here is the actual video for the song.

I know what you are thinking and sadly the only thing I can think to say is....
          XD

The third in my list is from Full Metal Alchemist. It is the 4th Opening to the series. It is called Rewrite and it's done by Asian KungFu Generation. If you aren't a fan of these guys then we can no longer be friends. That's all I have to say to you. Go fix it...Now!

Here is what the band actually looks like when they rock their faces off. [In my opinion, I think they are hot... but thats me...]

My next favorite is the second opening for Bleach. [Yes I was a bleach lover for quite sometime!] The song is called UVERworld and it is done by a band calling themselves D-technolife
For hardcore fans I'm sure you already know the leetness but don't ruin it for everyone else.

And now for the uberness that is D-technolife

So there are some of my favorites! Granted I have loads more and I do plan to share them with you as time goes on! Do you have a favorite that you think I would love better than the ones I showcased...well then tell my about them, Hell Show me instead [I <3 visuals]
Keep a look out for my Playlist for anime Closers!
          Ja Ne!

          Pandalicious' Playlist [Anime Boston2K8 Style]

When television isn't enough..youtube makes it all better!

Pandalicious in the hizzie fo rizzie! Have you ever been on your couch flipping through channels wishing the most random things would come on? [You aren't the only one let me tell you] Well I am aiming to remedy this desire for randomness. Over the next few weeks I will be searching the infinite series of tubes to bring forth the most random [BUT INTERESTING] Youtube videos. They will be very random, and will not always fall under the realms of my geek chic forte of anime and manga. I thought to start this whole thing off with a little trip down memory lane. The wonder lane of Anime Boston 2K8

The first one is the best in show of this years convention.
Sadly it wasn't the one I voted for personally. If there is anything people love it's CG and then KH so apparently CG+KH= Best in Show. Enjoy!

Next comes another CG favorite. It got best concept if my memory doesn't fail me. [after seeing it I could definately see why!]

Now here is one of my personal favorites, it was a finalist but it did not take home one of the spots of the "Bests"

This Video got Best Editing. [FOR GOOD REASON] It's so bubbly..and makes me wanna bounce, all day long...

This one was my choice for best comedy....did it win? You tell me?

The last one I think I'll share will be for the ladies...It is too cute to pass up!

At the end of all of this, I can only say that the talents that have been showcased here are uncanny. I only wish I had a fourth of it. I can only imagine how good next years AMVS will be.

So? Did you like these videos? Have a favorite you wanna share with me? Send it to me here at the site! If its UBERLY SHIBBY who knows I might link it and give you props. [Oh Of course I'll give you props... I ain't no thief Geebuz]

          Dreadlines

If you've read my stuff for very long, you know just how much I hate public relations people. So when I bumped into some particularly inane headlines recently, I just couldn't resist adding my own editorial comments. Like these:

Headline: Callers to National Runaway Switchboard are Getting Younger

Translators were necessary to understand the goo-goos and gaa-gaas.

Headline: Amazon.com Intros Service Allowing Purchases Via Text Message

Next they'll be hooking us up to electrodes and we'll be purchasing just by thinking.

Headline: USA TODAY Hollywood Hero Award Honors Earvin 'Magic' Johnson for His Work With the Magic Johnson Foundation

Imagine that. Magic Johnson being feted for working with his own foundation.

Headline: Wendy's Blames Snow, Easter For Poor Q1 Performance

Didn't it snow and easter on McDonalds and Burger King, too?

Headline: Electrolux Taps Kelly Ripa For Line Launch

What's their tag line? "Nothing Sucks Like Kelly Ripa"?

Headline: RBC Centura Bank Celebrates Name Change to RBC Bank

And if that doesn't work, they're changing it to just "Bank."

Headline: Werner Ladder Co. Becomes Official Ladder of the NCAA Basketball Championships

Because you gotta change the net somehow.

Headline: BP Announces Gulf of Mexico Discovery

I understand Christopher Columbus discovered the Gulf of Mexico way back in 1492.

Headline: Movie Gallery/Hollywood Video Closing Another 160 Stores

The only thing moving at Movie Gallery is its employees -- to the unemployment office.

Headline: America's Favorite Celebrity Siblings, Donny & Marie, to Host Teleflora's Mother's Day NBC Special

What, they couldn't get the Menendez brothers?

Headline: Dunkin' Donuts Makes Tax Day a Little Sweeter With Free Donuts

Nothin' funny about this headline. You deserve it. Go getcha some coffee and a donut on Monday.

Headline: La-Z-Boy Announces Moves to Strengthen Its North American Operations

Aw, why be in a hurry? Just sit down in that easy chair. Lean back. Relax. Now isn't that zzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Wouldn’t it be awesome to play your favorite mmorpg on a portable device? I know what you’re thinking. “I do that already with my laptop.” Well I’m talking about something just a bit more portable than your average-sized laptop.

How many times have you missed the train or bus to work because you didn’t want to log out of your mmorpg? Have you ever wished you could take your mmorpg with you on that long family trip so you’ll have something to do in the car? Well the OQO model 0.2 might be what you’re looking for. The OQO is basically an ultra mobile PC capable of running XP or Vista and weighs about one pound. You can also play a variety of other pc games on the system.

Here’s World of World fully functioning on the system.

          The Dark Knight

Finally a clean version of the Dark Knight teaser trailer shown at Comic Con has shown up online.

In the Dark Knight, Bale reprises his role as Batman and teams up with Oldman's Gordon and Eckhart's Dent in an effort to fight the organized crime mobs that rule Gotham's underworld. After the imprisonment of Carmine Falcone, a psychotic mastermind who goes by the name of "The Joker" (Ledger) assumes control of the criminal cartels.

This is a tentative summary based on what I've heard about the movie. Aside from the known facts that Oldman, Eckhart and Ledger will be playing Gordon, Dent and the Joker it could all be rumour and hearsay.

          Dark Knight Trailer

In other news. I haven't been able to find a clean version of the Iron Man Trailer yet, but I figure you're probably all hot to see it, so I'll give you the rough version. You can check it out here.
