Everybody wants to make an iPhone killer. Companies are coming out of the woodwork to fashion their own Android-based phone. Hewlett Packard paid a billion dollars to buy Palm for its mobile operating system. Microsoft is betting the farm on its own variety of mobile operating systems.

But no matter how sophisticated the smartphone market gets, no matter how much more market share the Android operating system attains, there's no single phone manufacturer likely to supplant Apple from the gross numbers of devices sold that run its iOS operating system.

And that's all the phone manufacturers care about. Motorola, Nokia, Sony Erickson, Palm, RIM (Blackberry), Samsung -- they all want to be where Apple is. That's why they all keep announcing their own versions of iPhone killers.

All this in-fighting reminds me of Dragonball Z.

There has been quite a bit of buzz around the tubes in regards to a little game called Enslaved: Odyssey to the West.  After having played the demo, I definitely intend to pick it up.  The reason for this plan however, is not completely because it was an awesome demo, which it was, but also because it reminded me of something.  It reminded me of the how awesome game developer Ninja Theory’s previous game Heavenly Sword happened to be.  So travel back with me to 2007 as I, in honor of Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, let you know about a game you may have overlooked.

New Monday, new podcast episode and in this one the ladies are all over the place. They start out with an audience question about useful iDevice apps (iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad) and somehow end up talking movies... it's, interesting to say the least.

Red Dead Redemption recently got another DLC pack that expands the multiplayer experience even further. Hunting grounds, new gang hideouts, races, multiplayer poker and liar’s dice, and a new game mode. What more could a gamer ask for? Well a fix for the connection issues that I am still having, but that is beside the point, let’s take a look at this DLC.

2010 has been the year of the anime world turning to the Americas for inspiration. Highschool of the Dead looked to George A. Romero for its zombified gore and glory, and Occult Academy took a nod from Sam Raimi's style of things that go bump and chuckle in the night. This month the folks over at GAINAX (FLCL, Evangelion) are up at bat, with their spin on gross-out and overtly-sexual humor in the vein of Ren & Stimpy: Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt. It comes as no surprise that the same studio that brought us Kare Kano and Gunbuster manage to hit this one out of the park.

Berserk is getting a new anime! If you watched your first ever anime in the 2000s, you probably don't know anything about this manga/anime. IT'S GREAT! WATCH IT! When you're done there, check out these Berserk teasers for the new anime. This

Browsing on Steam the other day, I was looking to see if I could find something on the cheap that could be fun.  As I was going through I noticed a little game called VVVVVV for only five bucks.  I remembered playing a demo of it a while back and enjoying it, so I picked it up.  I am now officially in love with this game.  While it is a very simply designed 2D platformer of sorts that is, at times, punishingly difficult, if you’re into that kind of thing, it could be just what you’re looking for.

It's Blade Kitten mo'fuckers!!!

No, it's not that exciting. Blade Kitten is an action/adventure title about a cat girl who makes her living as a bounty hunter.  She also has a cool sword that she controls telepathically.

New Monday, new podcast episode it's a simple combination... but powerful.

This week, Pandalicious kicks off the show with her impressions after seeing the newly release movie "The Social Network" which we all know is about the drama behind the creation of the social media melting pot, Facebook.

Fans of Arcade Fire have come to expect their beloved indie rock band to always pull out masterful albums. The Suburbs, while no exception, tends to showcase a more melancholy side of Win Butler and his Canadian brethren.
