HomeVideo Games (Page 102)

Each time I have had a chance to look at gameplay from Square Enix/Crystal Dynamics Tomb Raider prequel, the girl child in me does "the dance of joy." At the Microsoft Media Briefing this morning, I was treated to another demo of game visuals and gameplay mechanics that solidified my pre-order intentions for the game.

Care to find out why?

Ice Cube said it best, "I gotta say, it was a good day!"

On behalf of the team here at ESH, I am happy to announce that we are taking our game to a whole new level by joining the EGMNOW.com Partner Program. We will join the inaugural class of content partners which includes DigitalNoob, Coin-Op TV, 8-Bit Envy, and HipHopGamer, to name a few. Not a bad group of people to be associated with, am I right?

But what does this mean for ESH?

Party your way to a better you!

With the introduction of the Kinect (from Microsoft), Playstation Move (from Sony), and Wii Motion (from Nintendo) there has been a massive surge in the number of games in the fitness genre. Many of these games are designed to appeal to the healthier side of life. Many gamers enjoy being active. Sales of these motion based play systems prove this, so it's not a stretch to believe that we (the already stereotyped inactive, living at home with our parents gamers) may desire to better ourselves with out the stigma of going to a gym and being internally – and maybe even externally –  judged.

Want to see E3 through the sistahs eyes? well you don't have to wait anymore!

In less than 3 days, I will be on a plane kicking myself for forgetting about that stupid adapter I left on my kitchen table (you know, the one that I really needed to bring with me) as jump on a flight to LA to attend E3 2012. A bunch of the Team ESH team members will meet me there and we'll compare notes on who is going to go see what during the show, and what we are really excited to see.

So, I started working on my "What I really want to see" E3 list.

Coming Soon: 2012 E3 Media Briefings

Every so often team ESH has the pleasure of attending events in person, and this year 4 members of the crew will be descending on LA next week to bring you all the video game news, previews, and hands-on recaps than you can shake a stick at. (Why you'd want to shake a stick at news, reviews and recaps I don't know, but hey...this is a judgement free zone.

Light-gun gaming has been a staple for the video game industry for quite some time. It all started for me with an orange gun, some ducks and a very annoying dog. Frequently in these games, the targets you’re gunning for happen to be the living dead. Pair those with one of my favorite game series and you’ve got Resident Evil: Chronicles HD Collection headed soon to PSN.

Even the sistahs take time out of their everyday to reflect and remember

May 22nd is an unassuming date. It's also that weird day that falls between the start of your week and humpday, again, nothing to write home about. May 22nd, 2012 however, simply put, "ain't no average Tuesday." The fine folks at Ubisoft are releasing Tom Clancey's Ghost Recon: Future Soldieron the PC, XBox 360 and PS3 tomorrow, which means "nerd holiday*" for many young men and women across the nation.

  • *Nerd Holiday
    • When an individual attends a midnight launch of a video game title at midnight and proceeds to call in sick to his/her day job the following day in order to play the newly acquired game title.

But why? Why would anyone go out of their way to take a day off of work to "play a video game?" The short answer is: because you get to blow stuff up. Hit the jump and check out the final pre-release trailer for GRFS
