Holy hell are there a lot of people here at Pax East!

It's 9 am (ok, actually it's closer to 9:30am) on the first day of Pax East 2011. Team ESH this year is made up of NinJaSistah, Pandalicious and KingBabyDuck.

We've got coffee. We've got badges. We've walked around the BCEC once already and the con-funk has made an early appearance. What we haven't got is a clue.

Let’s face it, Dead Space 2 was a fantastic game.  When Visceral announced they were going to release single-player DLC so soon, I was overjoyed.  I’ve gotten a chance to download and play Dead Space 2: Severed, but did it live up to the greatness that was Isaac Clark’s second dance with the necromorphs?  Read on to find out.

Enchantment by Guy KawasakiIt's not Monday, but we still have a brand new episode of the ESH Podcast to share with you, and as we said yesterday this one is an interview with the last Apple Fellow Guy Kawasaki to talk about his new book, "Enchantment: The Art of Changing Hearts, Minds and Actions."

Enchantment: The Art of Changing Hearts, Minds and Actions

Hey folks, just an FYI here. The new ESH Podcast episode will drop tomorrow and is a "very special" episode of our podcast.

It's March 7th. GDC in San Fran is over. Pandalicious and I are on the East Coast, and while most days the fact that so many of our West Coast counterparts got to join in on some key learnings around the video game industry from the developers that define it would have me seething with envy, I know that PAX East (The Penny Arcade Expo) is 4 days away.

Suck it Trebek.

Ever wondered "I really like the Yakuza series of games, but what if we replaced the gangsters with teenagers and added a forced stripping mechanic?

OK, here it is!

Rift, the MMO that makes it a point to say it's the supposed World of Warcraft killer is now open for business. I wish I had the time/resources to invest in Rift, to see if it does do what WoW don't, but I tend to just download a lot of MMORPGs and then neglect them.

What do you get when you cross Gainax from car manufacturer Subaru? A Magical Girl show, apparently!

Houkago no Pleiades (Wish Upon Pleiades) is the tale of a girl named Subaru (of course) who gets caught up in a battle between good and evil. This being a collaboration with Subaru, the team of magical girls all ride on staffs that make car noises. Why would they sound like cars? ::SHRUGS SHOULDERS::

With the Nintendo 3DS heading our way later this month, I’m already counting down the days until I get to enjoy some glasses-free 3D fun.  There have been a lot of people out there who are skeptical about the value of picking up Nintendo’s new system on the day it comes out.  While I can certainly understand the reasons for waiting, it’s just not something I’m willing to do this time around.  Stick around, hit the break and I’ll fill you in on why I just can’t wait for this one.
